Only following this from abroad at present, but whilst in a more noble age Cox would have been shot as a danger to the state he was right to say Parliament is too gutless to depose this Government. That has to change, ideally today, before these idiots do any more damage like float the idea of politically approved judges.

Hmm...why ARE they so deperate for an election?

This is the question, and tbh it may involve the scandal in the US where Trump was very quick to “confirm” that it was about Ukraine.

What if it wasn’t?

After all, Trump has been incredibly certain about Boris and in his UN speech said that the “patriots” would lead the way; the Tories also have a suspiciously large amount of cash on hand (hence the deluge of Facebook and other ads, especially the Police one although we paid for that).

Is it that far fetched to think that Trump has promised / dreams guaranteed a win somehow and that is what spooked the whistleblower?

Otherwise him being involved in Russian affairs doesn’t sound like the thing that they’d go nuts over given that he has done that numerous times without anyone in the intelligence community sticking their hand up.

Key question, which Cox won't answer, is why was no one in government or senior Civil Service willing or able to provide a witness statement to the court as to the reasons for prorogation.

The answer is clearly that no one in government or senior Civil Service was prepared to perjure themselves.
Cox and the Tories think their bluster can get them throiugh this.

That piece of lying filth and his masters are in for a rude awakening very soon.

Cox is what he is: an actor. That's what he does outside parliament - stage productions for the local amateur dramatics society.

He's just applying that BS ham acting to his day job, and the loonies behind him are lapping it up more out of desperation than anything else.

Seems angry by the SC judgement does Cox. If he thinks the decision was so wrong and his legal advice was so sound, why not publish it and why not provide the court with the rationale for it?

You are not listening to him. His legal advice was sound. The English Courts agreed with him, the Scottish lower court’s agreed with him. If the SC had decided to introduce a new principle it would have remained lawful just as earlier prorogations were. As he said, if the Law as it now stands after yesterday’s ruling had been around when Major and before him earlier Labour governments prorogued parliament, they too may have been judged unlawful by the SC. He cannot publish advice and even Grieve agrees with him because it would curtail or diminish future advice if it was going to be published. You may not agree with this but that is how it works. I’m just amazed that some Remainers are actually allowed to vote when they cannot understand what is being explained.......
