I’m not doing a Wenger, but I honestly haven’t had any time to watch it........
The main legal discussion was by Pannick and Eadie - both were excellent. If the government loses, it will do so because of Keen and the lack of explanatory notices from the PM. You could probably skip Keen and O'Neill, unless you want to listen to 30 minutes of Scottish flag waving. Fordham this afternoon was superb advocacy.

Thanks.....although at the end of the day, i suppose it is only about is prorogation lawful.....John Major however has completely blown it with his previous party, especially as he did similar, and has been shown up as a complete coward for not even turning up to present his own case, imho....

Well it's about if the advice to the queen was made in good faith or not. If this particular prorougation was unlawful.

And, in what may be one of the most relevant constitutional cases in history, presenting your own submission, as a non barrister, is not advisable.

Mind you I never liked Major anyway. I always felt he was a backstabbing grey man......

In fairness thought both sides did ok putting there cases across, goverment was a bit lacking energy to watch but easy to follow.
That scotish fella was not worth watching gave up after a bit.
god knows how it will play out suspect they will go the same way as the English and Welsh courts.
Find out next week i suppose.

This is what you’re up against.

I don’t give a toss about “17.4 million people etc., etc,”.......if this fruitcake is a typical example of the type of fanatic that makes up that “17.4 million” then I agree with Ms. Jo Swinson.

Just Revoke the darned thing.

Someone needs to save that bugger from himself.

O'Neill went for theatre. He didn't need to be forensic when he had Pannick with him. I thought Eadie, as always, was very good; Keen was poor in my opinion and the questioning of the panel reflected that. I think it's 50-50, although there detail in questioning of remedies would cause me a lot of worry if I were the Government.

I could reasonably see a declaration that the prorogation is unlawful but with no order being made. That would rule of the legal aspect, but remove the suggestion that it was politically motivated, and ultimately leave the remaining action to be resolved by Parliament and Government.
