read all that on Newsnow, big problems. Talk of need to reform the EU as their Eurosceptic party is looking very strong. Could be that if there is a programme to reform the EU our Brexit may well be delayed!
Who knows Boris let it slip from day one he would go back and negotiated a better deal if the Brexit camp won, but he had to fall on his sword when he suggested it after the no vote!

Recent research from University College London shows, European migrants are not a drain on Britain’s finances; what is more, they actually pay in more in taxes than they take out in state benefits. That contribution – valued at £2bn a year – is helping to fuel Britain’s economic growth.

Also, Britain is managing to attract the highest number of university-educated migrants of any country in the EU year after year to work in the financial, technology and media industries.

And hopefully we will continue to do so, as we want them, when we want them........

The talk was that Gove stabbed him in the back!!!

Anyway another bit that shows how crap the EU is, Spain and Portugal are to be fined by the EU for breaking the rules on Government support for their banks and tax rules. How stupid is this for heavens sake. The remain camp ignore this evidence of EU stupidity.

It's the remain camp who were in power who should have had the exit plan in place, as the PM led it to remain for instance Harold Wilso PM took a backseat, and hone red the result of the Euoropean common market vote- he did not get involved acted on the people's choice Day should have done the same not spat his dummy out of the roam as he believed Brexit would never happen!

Well...frankly it never should have, but the Leave camp did some excellent scare mongering and flat out lied which got the 'get off my lawn' types out to vote.

Something as important as this vote was should have required at a minimum 60% to leave. As it stands, the UK is simply not prepared for leaving, and are going to suffer for it...at least for the foreseeable future.

If Paris plays this right with regards to banking, London could be in massive trouble.

Oh and the remain camp never told any lies in there campaign selective memories from you!

Did they say that your NHS would get £350 mill weekly that was going to the EU?

Lies on both sides is why the vote should have required a super majority of some sort. The average citizen simply is/was not educated enough to make such a decision.

Both sides had a bit of "fun" with figures and claims, cannot help thinking that the Treasury info under Osborne gave out helped the current situation to get under way. WE are at the monent still in the EU and will be some time there was no need for panic as shown by these mega rich twits.

For those who voted to remain - a simple question why did you vote that way? What were your reasons?

As a matter of interest do you want the EU to break up? And if it does, what do you think the consequences may be?

Well mate not for me but I would like it see it go back and become more trade orientated than pursuing more central control which is what is happening under Juncke et al.

It was very fortunate for Gove that he is out of the race for PM. As he would not have been able to finance his £100 million per week = £5.2 billion per year for the NHS, funded by his claim that it would be funded from the savings to leave.

I've said a few times previously in this thread that a growing proportion of trade deals are non-tariff related items, so free trade in the EU sense isn't simply a case of saying no tariffs will be applied across the EU zone. There are many other things involved so that various standards apply (environmental for instance) across the free trade zone. The Pacific trade deal, for instance, has quite hefty items in there around intellectual property that are designed to pull China into line, so that alone is going to invoke big changes on how Chinese companies operate.

These regulations may supersede national regulations. If you want global integration in terms of trade, then you will have to cede a degree of sovereignty.

Even Nigel Farage condemned those figures Boris and Gove on the bus stats!
