So we were already on the slide before Brexit then?

Between April and May exports went down. But in the 3 month between February and May they went up. So the month before the vote they went down. They also do yearly export figures. But I will have to google that ;)

If we take as read that, on average, migrants contribute to the exchequer more than they consume, one would imagine the funding situation would be even worse if they weren't there though. I wonder if the issue isn't more to do with the distribution of funds, and particularly the agility in adapting to what can be quite rapid changes. For instance, if the population of a town changes rapidly, does funding adapt to reflect that or does it wait 10 years for the next census?

Recent research from University College London shows, European migrants are not a drain on Britain’s finances; what is more, they actually pay in more in taxes than they take out in state benefits. That contribution – valued at £2bn a year – is helping to fuel Britain’s economic growth.

Also, Britain is managing to attract the highest number of university-educated migrants of any country in the EU year after year to work in the financial, technology and media industries.

Well we have many medium sized industries that export one can hope these can grow int bigger industries.

You'd have thought those in the Leave camp would have planned this out a little better and gotten the ball rolling towards such an end a few years ago. As it is, it's just glimmer of hope the Leave camp are hanging on to.

On LBC this am saying ATM Brexit has pushed our exports positively upwards worldwide, and an EU economist came on to say Italy is the next Greece its spent the bail out package from Germany the Euro is in meltdown- it's LBC breakfast show quite a balanced telephone in some were complaining Brexit was bad majority saying it was causing a boom in manufacturing exports!

Keep Googling;)

Gets angry at people researching studies performed by experts then uses random talkback callers as evidence?

It's the remain camp who were in power who should have had the exit plan in place, as the PM led it to remain for instance Harold Wilso PM took a backseat, and hone red the result of the Euoropean common market vote- he did not get involved acted on the people's choice Day should have done the same not spat his dummy out of the roam as he believed Brexit would never happen!

That's because I listen to the news , and Google much less;)

read all that on Newsnow, big problems. Talk of need to reform the EU as their Eurosceptic party is looking very strong. Could be that if there is a programme to reform the EU our Brexit may well be delayed!
