I can just imagine the Romans saying 'I've no issue with the Visigoths. I like nomadic German tribes. I just wish old people going to the market to get supplies for their vesperna didn't have to walk passed Alaric and his pissed up goth lads.

A Visigoth serviced my hypocaust the other day. Really good job he did of it too, and not that many denarii either. Still prefer we didn't have those Visigoth food shops on so many of the vias now though.

Wonder if @OnlyBlueWillDo has any other books he’s not read to recommend us reading. lol
I think my original point was very valid, that we are not well liked in Europe, and that Eurovision voting is a good barometer as to who likes you and who doesn't in Europe, there are scores of clever people who have researched it because it is valid, and published papers and books on the subject.

It’s the herd mentality of the Remainers and the grief process they are going through, once we are out of the EU and the sky hasn’t fallen on their heads they’ll come out of it......

You're an intelligent man Pete. Do you think the posts of some of the newcomers to the thread in the past week have been a good reflection of your cause?

It’s really only the English who are disliked across Europe to be honest. In reality, nobody likes them in the UK either.

I work with a lot of EU folk and startups across Europe (and obviously family and friends across the Visegrad) and the only Brits that are disliked are the charlatans we have in office at the moment. If you like, it's akin to thinking the average American is alright, but detesting the orange buffoon in the White House. Don't confuse people's feelings on Nigel Farage with Brits as a whole (and also don't believe a word that rags like the S*n and Mail tell you).

Just a few on the subject...

So because someone (who must be clever) has written a book (that you haven’t read) on something, it reinforces your original point?! lollol Oh man
What about this book?

Could I ask you the same question ? This thread merely shadows the nonsense going on with our politicians, it’s a strange time for all......
