ANOTHER LIE.

We loaned the Republic of Ireland £1 billion in a bilateral loan in 2008/2009.

Then we have further facility to loan Ireland another £3.25 billion under the Loans to Ireland Act 2010.

Full repayment due by 2021.

If you people can't quote facts properly. Don't quote them at all!
Ok explain the chart where we are 9 billion out of pocket sorry I was only 1 billion out as politicians misinformed me!
Explain the chart away I posted for 2015 please do not forget as our GDP surpasses the other EU countries our membership goes up every year!

Simply because you were wrong and you denied it.
So the the leave campaign was an official government policy was it? Somebody should tell David Cameron quickly that he's resigning for nothing! You do understand that having loads of backbencher's wanting to leave means very little. It is the Prime Minister and his inner circle of cronies (who are all remainers) that hold the power. Before you suggest otherwise I'm perfectly aware that there are leave campaigners in the cabinet, but the people who run the Conservative party are Remainers. You are aware that the Conservative party were nothing like being united on the policy of Brexit to say the very least!

No that comes under the poorer regions of the gifts our monies the rebate us!
its 9 billion for 2015 do not forget if our GDP rises our annual membership fee goes up too!

It doesn't come under the monies for poorer regions.

From the article you showed the graph,

"The Treasury figures note payments the EU makes directly to the private sector, such as research grants. In 2013, these were worth an estimated £1.4 billion, so including them could reduce our net contribution further still".

That is £7 billion. Gove and Johnson promised to honour the monies to the farmers and poorer areas and the monies to the private sector. Plus give the NHS at least £100 million per week = £5.2 billion. That leaves £1.8 billion to play with.

And I admitted my gaff, which I have no problem with doing.

I have to say on occasion, others on the opposite side to me have remained silent when certain things have been pointed out to them. Refused to admit they got things wrong. I have no problem with that either - it's human nature. But if I get it wrong, I'll say so.

I wasn't having a dig there, I just thought Dixie's reaction may have been a tad overzealous.

I'm not talking figures with you lot as you're exaggerating figures to suit yourselves.

£7 billion to Ireland.

Wasn't anything of the sort.

UK STATUTE AS WELL!

You've already been piped down once tonight on VAT.

Don't make me do it again.
It doesn't really matter now though, the UK is almost certainly going to leave the EU now, and may well leave the EFTA.No amount of arguing about the campaigns will change that. Just let it go.

Simple maths it reads deficit of membership is NINE Billion pounds the other monies are paid by us in our rebates read the chart it simple maths!

So it's only £163Million or £134Million that we send over every week. So what youre saying is that its only the same as our total NHS budget, or just 3 times what we spend on defence, or 4 times what we spend on housing and the environment........Well I'm disgusted that we are only sending over £20Million pounds per day..........how will they be able to pay the champagne bill ffs..........

and the economic value of our membership is around £70bn a year, that equates to £200 million a day. Pretty good return on our investment I'd say.

We're going to have a full scale recession, GDP will fall in Q3 and Q4 this year and probably into Q1 2017 - there's no doubt about it.

Esk, this 'there is no doubt about it' comment really doesn't help. Make your point but no need for the incorrect rider. There is always doubt, nothing in politics, the weather or finance is ever without doubt. The only issue that is without doubt is that we will one day die..........

No problem, ghost. As I said in another post, I think this thread is useful to both sides in seeing where the other side is coming from. I'm picking up bits of the financial side of things that I had not looked at before.
