Oh, that's alright then. It is another success for Brexit. Like Honda closing, Nissan not making the X-Trail in Sunderland, Land Rover moving the Discovery to Slovakia, and electric power research to BMW in Germany. It is so hard to see any sort of a trend there. Is that what you are saying?
Vauxhall at Ellesmere Port plainly not at risk, being outside the EU?
Never let your prejudice get in the way of your truth...….

Ford said there was no Brexit link in moving to Mexico. They could have just thrown in the usual Brexit excuse but they didn’t......

And business really, truly is that simple? Honda, Nissan and Land Rover? Vauxhall?

Please don't say they are a worthwhile sacrifice, like steel, coal, Triumph (and Rover)

JLR have made mistakes all over the shop regarding diesel and product range and are suffering from a downturn in the Chinese market. The Japanese now have a trade deal with the EU and no longer require EU based manufacturing plants. There is a lot going on in the world and to simply say ‘it woz Brexit’ doesn’t cut it really....

And Toyota are keeping production in the UK, Brexit or no, and building a Suzuki hybrid here.

But to simply say "Brexit did not make a difference" to decisions which can be quite fine about where to keep production not only does not cut it, but seems frighteningly naïve to me.

"State aid: Commission approves Slovakia's €125 million investment aid to Jaguar Land Rover" europa.eu/rapid/press-release_IP-18-6023_en.htm

And Ellesmere Port?

Nonsense - if a second referendum has remain win, when it has become abundantly clear what Brexit means, then that is democracy in action. If people want to riot or go right wing, fine, let them. And kettle the everloving crap out of them when they do for breaking law and order.

The problem with the initial referendum was that it wasn't defined. Lies were told, far more on the leave side than remain - that's an unavoidable fact. If anything, blindly following the first referendum - which by the way was completely non-binary - given its' now well known flaws and we're now three years away from it with zero progress; THAT'S a subversion of democracy, because absolutely nobody voted for the situation we're in now and absolutely nobody voted to leave with no deal.
You could argue that voting for a No deal brexit was exactly what they did vote for, maybe not realising it as there was note mention of a deal on the ballot paper

Except we were told that we would leave with a deal thats easy to make.

Should goto the public again, only way to get this mess sorted.

Remain or leave with no deal.

Germany are also losing huge amounts of car manufacturing to cheaper EU states. just for a bit of context.

We don’t win by shutting these people up...quite the opposite ... we let them shout at the tops of their voices about their beliefs and then we use their own arguments to expose them for what they really are.
Agree but don't at the same time. Very many people want to make Britain great again without realising it was rarely the case, and at the times of greatest 'success' it has been Mr and Mrs ordinary who have paid the price.
Farage and Johnson want as little regulation as possible so their friends can financially rape the population, as they did prior to the crash and while we are still paying for it they are plotting the next wave of unbridled capitalism to allow the worst of Western humanity to take advantage again.
Finance and Tech particularly need regulating to within an inch of their lives. The only way people can wrest back some control is through government that will act on behalf of society, not the owners of capital and data. We are at a very serious point in history and the wild west of wreckless capitalism is well positioned to take us all to the cleaners again. In fact they already do every day, but it will get worse.

Ford are also closing factories in Germany and France. Presumably that is down to Brexit too.
All you will get in here, is every single bit of negative news regards jobs etc etc will be down to us leaving the EU.. When in fact EU states are doing much worse

Go figure

Its the one thing I will agree with you on this. It is lazy and plain wrong to put every mishap that a company has at the Brexit door.

In the same way it is lazy and plain wrong to dismiss stuff that can be.
