You have no right to lecture other countries anyway.

You seem afraid of democracy. Its 3 years and running since the last vote on this. Why not check with the people and see if they are still OK with the decision - other countries do this. A 2nd vote is becoming inevitable especially if Labour get behind it, only this time it will be unambiguous - No Deal v Remain. And you know what the outcome will be which is why you are so dead set against it.

Nobody knows how the vote would turn out. It would be like me suggesting that the ROI have another vote remain or leave the U.K.......it’s history, the vote took place.......

Well Juncker has said that they will not renegotiate, so therefore he is saying they are quite happy with a no deal, unless of course he thinks we are cowards and will cave in. Now I know that many of our MP’s are just that, but the people aren’t, so whoever gets in should go with what Juncker wants, a no deal.....

What’s your favourite part of a no deal?

Odd to think one of the big reasons for democracy is to lecture other countries

Indeed. Equally odd that people big up democracy and then whine when the people we elect to make decisions on our behalf make ones that they don't agree with whilst at the same time championing an unelected corporation instead. Democracy basically means do what we want or we'll cry.

???

Which parliament won't accept. It's only the ERG who find this even remotely acceptable.
The European commision will not be in place till about late Sept/ october so can't really do anything different even if they wanted to, If any of the candidates wanted to or had the will to do it all they would have to do was call an election, parliament gets dissolved for 6 weeks and we would be out by default as we go passed the leave date, no matter what the MP'S wanted.
By the way i am not condoning this cause of action before anybody starts.

And the award for most ironic post goes to you bruce

Again

Did you go to the Alanis Morrisette school of understanding irony? Butchery of the English language aside, the very act of democracy is a continuous and ongoing debate about issues. Indeed, that's the whole point of our parliamentary system. It isn't to give whoever won the last general election a dictatorship for the next 5 years. It's a shame that such staunch defenders of democracy don't appear to have a clue what democracy actually means.

What's more, it's perhaps telling that the Founding Fathers expressly created an unelected second chamber to hedge against mob rule, and this regulatory presence is a central part of any functioning democracy, yet that too is something Farage and his cronies wish to do away with because they dare to shine the light of reason on their mad fantasies. There have been similar attacks on the free judiciary and press, which are, again, bedrocks of a functioning democracy.

So Brexiters championing democracy really is ironic as in reality you want to destroy it.

I look forward to vaulting this on a daily basis, should Labour get back into power :P
