I think that one outcome of the EU elections is that leaving with a deal is now, probably, the least likely outcome.

We seem to have polarised into either second referendum/peoples vote/remain or leave without a deal.

I can't see Labour being able to force a general election before Oct 31st or bring about a second referendum so much will depend on who the next tory leader is.

Welcome back stranger.

Well Juncker has said that they will not renegotiate, so therefore he is saying they are quite happy with a no deal, unless of course he thinks we are cowards and will cave in. Now I know that many of our MP’s are just that, but the people aren’t, so whoever gets in should go with what Juncker wants, a no deal.....

Think it looks like a second referendum is most likely now but this keeps changing from week to week.

To be honest, as a remain voter it’s not something i particularly want. The whole things a mess and the conflictual repercussions in our society are going to be felt for a generation no matter what the outcome.

"I tells you what Pete...We should've rioted on the 29th March....show them we aren't cowards and took back control then. Like democracy should be! First thing I'd do, day 1, is write 'stick it up yer Juncker' on the cliffs of Dover in big letters. Show 'em we mean business....Day 2 I'd be calling up Trump and saying 'time to make reparations for independence, you'll take a free trade agreement and you'll like it.' Day 3 I'll be calling up France and Germany who'll have their own Frexit and Gexit, by then, after seeing what a great success we have been, and be telling them they'll be doing deals, but on our terms, bring them to heel, like we did in the war... simple!"

No my friend, Democracy means we abide by the result of elections. One way or another the people will have their way....

We will not have a second vote. If we do then we are no longer a democracy...and will have no right to lecture other countries around the world......this is a big deal.......

You have no right to lecture other countries anyway.

You seem afraid of democracy. Its 3 years and running since the last vote on this. Why not check with the people and see if they are still OK with the decision - other countries do this. A 2nd vote is becoming inevitable especially if Labour get behind it, only this time it will be unambiguous - No Deal v Remain. And you know what the outcome will be which is why you are so dead set against it.

Doubt other countries will be that bothered to be honest. We did wage an illegal war on Iraq (amongst others) with no serious repercussions regarding international standing or influence. We’re just going to look stupid. Very stupid
