The problem is it will happen again the way our MPs have behaved - plus the EU bureaucrats- PPR needs to be implemented the HOC needs fetching into the 21st century etc etc - The house of Lords needs reducing and being voted in also by PPR ....
It needs a big shake up imo....
Also if an MP is not carrying out the wishes of its constituents...... This mess would not have happened.... and an elected speaker by the people would be a good idea too........

Joey before you tinker with things you should find out how they work.

Implementing PR in the Commons would result in far more contempt for politicians and far less commitment to policies and platforms, because the inevitable result of PR is that you have coalition governments with all the horse-trading, graft and incompetence that flow from that. Implementing it in the Lords and in the person of the Speaker would make things even worse because you'd have three bodies, all of whom could claim democratic legitimacy for their actions, arguing among themselves as to what to do.

Our problems now stem directly from the Tory Party attempting to defy nearly a thousand years of British political history in attempting to govern without control of the Commons. The only thing that fixes that, one way or another, is another General Election (a second referendum might solve the Brexit problem, but its doubtful it would enable them to govern again afterwards).

We have had one referendum, a once in a lifetime choice... the fixed parliament is also a blunder - many other countries have PR - it gets people out to vote ....
Mps should also be accountable to their constituents - did one MP push for this ie they got deselected if they did not fulfill their duties also Job outside an MP needs looking at too....... as a conflict of interest can arise - its an old network that needs to move into the 21st century.......
If you have a job you cannot moonlight as they do big style ......
