I feel like Brexit has revealed how confused people are on how government is supposed to work. The elected officials are supposed to make decisions for the people who elect them. They are elected to have knowledge above what the common man knows. So this whole canceling Brexit is ruining democracy thing is manure. Even if a referendum is held it is the job of the people in parliament to say sorry guys but I've looked at this and I'm not doing it. If the people don't like that they can vote that person out. But driving the country off the cliff because people who didn't understand fully what the Brexit vote meant voted to leave is not how representative government should function.

That's why the only thing they can agree on (even the hard line Brexiteers) is that a no deal brexit will devastate the economy.
people can spout all the rule britannia nonsense they want but the business leaders and financial giants are against Brexit

There are some that don't really enforce their immigration laws or have very few, some SE Asian states and some of the 'Americas'. But I think it's more down to desirability and infrastructure.

But no, there isn't really. I think it's a wider point about the notion of nationality and borders being applied to others, being an inherently racist concept.

there is nothing to suggest the economy will collapse. its all scaremongering. I laugh at it all, and it only seems to be getting more hysterical.
