I can hear the sizzling of gammon in the morning already.
"betrayal!"
"end of democracy!"
"traitors!"
Words born from emotions over intelligence will dominate for the coming months. Distrust of politicians will be at an all-time low from the leavers. I can only hope we don't end up with a general election leading to the installation of scum like Farage, Gove, Johnson or worse becoming powerful by posing as the "you people can trust me, I'm one of you" icon. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if it did happen at this point. My faith in the people of this country falls by the day.

It's was a good night for democracy. Our elected representatives our moving towards consensus. And i'm stunned that Brexiteers have not been all over the media circuit, the early bird catches the worm.

Despite everything else.

The UK voted to leave the EU and last night the pm has pushed back that action again simply based on a hope.

Democracy is dead in the UK
Or... our democratically elected representatives in parliament have decided that the deal on offer was neither in the best interests of our country nor what was offered in the referendum.

As you are interested in democracy I assume you would favour a 2nd referendum to establish the current will of the people given the reality 3 years on?

Voters were not given full information which voided the result.

The information provided to the electorate was "incomplete" and therefore "violated the freedom of the vote", the court ruled.

what post ?? ill happily answer anything
This mate
You, if you voted Leave again, would still have the Irish border issue to solve. I ask this question of the brexiteer elite on here quite a bit so how would you solve this problem? Would you accept the carve up of 'the UK' and separate customs arrangements for Britain and the six counties or would you just give Ireland back to the Irish? Otherwise, how would you solve that problem mate?

Right. Perhaps we could have an election where voters are educated and informed about the EU instead of intimidated and misinformed.
We had a 8 million pound government leaflet before the referendum of all the pitfalls of leaving the EU to every U.K. Households, and that made no difference, now we see the HOC trying to overturn democracy.......
