Every vote/election millions are disappointed. Diddums.
Mature response there.

This isn’t/wasn’t an election, where you get to reverse it in 4yrs time when you see the results.

But hey if you want to compare it to one, that seems like an excellent argument for a second referendum now more facts are known!

Looks like the DUP called May's bluff and she bought it completely.

Call them what you like, but those old DUP boys have probably the most experience of negotiations of anyone in the commons. They've spent their lives doing deals and sitting round the table, such is the daft state of our politics. But the government have shown themselves to be pretty naive and incompetent in comparison. Which is pretty concerning to be frankly honest....
the DUP should be sent to Brussels to negotiate the 'deal' if there should be one...

With both major parties almost equally split, how would manifestos be compiled to garner enough support from a divided nation to gain a majority government?

The Tories are in far more serious trouble over Brexit than Labour

Labour will campaign against May's handling of Brexit (currently 7% approval and counting), but otherwise base their entire messaging against austerity, which everybody save loony ideologues knows to have been a disaster and to which the Tories have no response.

They will continue saying vague things about Brexit only when forced, and if elected will pursue Norway+ or a second referendum depending on the size of the minority

No deal is gone! It now requires Parliamentary consent, Parliament will not consent, it really won't.

what don't people understand... the legal default is to . leave on the 12th. If by the 12th we haven't agreed a deal sand the EU don't offer an extension.. we are out with a no deal. In fact the EU is certain that will happen

Think no deal became more likely tonight. They need to agree on some way forward in the next 2 weeks or that’s what will happen.

I suppose at least some ideas were ruled out tonight. But it’s hard to see anything gaining a majority.

Do you think that would appeal to either side? I don't.

Why does it require parliamentary consent?

It is going to happen unless parliament actively consents to something else, and eight different versions of that something else just failed tonight
