But I expect that the actual racists that voted to remain did......lol
I'm not sure whether you are jesting or not Pete. But shortly after the referendum I was speaking to somebody I vaguely knew in a pub, somebody I knew to have some, shall we say, iffy views on immigration.

He was quite surprised I voted to leave. He went on to say something along the lines of the Poles and commies are not the real problem, but the blacks and Asians (not the exact words he used might I add).

Now I'm not saying that this was the main reason he voted to remain, or that the country is full of people like him who vote to remain. But I think it would be wrong to just assume that there is nobody else out here with similar views.

I’m sure there are people like that , there are people of all ideas and ideals that voted all ways but if the subject of race influenced one side more heavily and you’re suggesting it’s the remain side then I’m afraid I’d have to challenge that as strongly as i could .

@Bruce Wayne is a man plauged by the trauma of his parents death at an early age. It's understandable, coupled with this and his dedication to scientific and intellectual excellence that he will sometimes possess a brooding personality and alienating behavior, which might manifest itself in a surly attitude.

Just count yourself lucky you aren't part of a criminal underworld.

You resorted to it as a first refuge, and you still haven't made a substantive contribution.
I have predicted the future, one which you would be happy with too. Outside of the leftie bubble it's clear the Tory party is done for, ya boi Jezza is nailed on for next PM.

I think to say that stuff hasn’t been thrown both ways would be completely disingenuous. Of course stuff has whether it’s repeated use of words like loser or remoaner to a lot more . I don’t want to search and list but if you’d like I will . It’s an emotive subject . I like to think I try to always be polite because that’s how think we should be but I’ve certainly written and deleted posts because I was about to lose it or go on a rant . There are more remainers on here , which for various geographical and sociopolitical reasons is to be expected despite that itself being an issue for debate on occasion I see no reason to apologise for that .

The frustration runs throughout the thread , I can understand it . I myself have had to repeat my stance on various issues maybe more than a dozen times , we all have to get on with it I suppose and the best way to maintain a healthy discussion is to continue to discuss it rather than start kicking off .
I'm not sure if this was a response to one of my posts Harry. I got a link to it but none of my posts are linked so not sure what you are referring to.

As it happens I don't particularly disagree with anything you have said. I also try and be polite but sometimes I may tend to overreact if I feel the need to defend myself, which seems to happen frequently in here. I am on a short fuse at the moment, because there are other things going in in my life other than Brexit, but I suppose that's a problem with these types of forum in that you don't know the person you're exchanging views with.

As I recall it wasn’t a reply to you it was a general observation to the state of debate .
