So are the voters to leave now flapping it?
He wanted to remain though mate. Guess the amazing economic effects seen already swung him?
I don't think so, just the msm, and politicians that didn't have their shizz together trying to create an excuse to overrule democracy. So are the voters to leave now flapping it?
It's actually worse then a farce, it's truly terrifying to see how quickly people are prepared throw away their rights to get what they want.Shame the won't be a second vote, what a farce even suggesting that, should we keep voting until we win?
I'm very happy we voted to leave. I just hope the government do not ignore the peoples choice.
Why didn't you respond to my post about your country not being independent?
Because I found the UKSSR comparison more than a little ridiculous.
Well I guess we will start to see whether Leaving was the right decision or not in 5 / 10 / 15 years time when we will have a better idea on how the UK's economy as a whole is shaping up compared to the EU's. I'll reserve judgement til then rather than 4 days after the referendumLook, I get the points about wanting more sovereignty, control over immigration, protest against a government that's ignored the entire country outside of London for the past 30 odd years. But there is no economic case to be made for Leave, none. It's going to hurt the wallet, and badly.
And what would your solution be to this? Redo the referendum again and again until the plebs have reached the "correct" decision? Democracy isn't perfect but It's the best system we have. I don't care if people think they've made mistake, if they were stupid enough to vote without understanding the implications then that's to bad for them. The same goes for the ignorant idiots who didn't even bother to vote at all. Life is like that, we live and die by the decisions we make and if we make a bad one we should learn to deal with the fallout. What do you think would happen if the remain won the second referendum? The leave would demand (and quite rightly) a third referendum. Do we just keep going around and around?! Face facts remainders, rightly or wrongly the leave camp won. Deal with it.I've already seen leave voters I know personally saying they're thinking they have made a mistake.
All I keep hearing is that we must obey the will of the people. Well what if the will of the people is different a few months from now and we still haven't invoked Article 50 or voted to repeal the 1972 act ?
Shall we then stick to the decision made under false pretences, or look at the facts as they are, which will be a slumped economy and the reality that immigration will remain unchanged and we will be unable to influence the EU which will heavily influence our country ?
Asks an interesting question about what 'democracy' actually is.
Can you explain why you're saying with apparent relish that Le Pen and her ilk will soon be in government? Are you proud that what you've done has given a boost to fascists across Europe?
It's no more ridiculous than you referring to the EU as the EUSSR.
Your country is just a part of a British Superstate. You'd have all of Ireland if you could.
