Just for clarification...'Brexit' is not an Act of Parliament as it means precisely nothing or everything depending upon who is spouting it.

The European Union (Notification of Withdrawal) Act 2017 is law and it is binding only so long as the UK has not withdrawn from the EU:

"The United Kingdom is free to revoke unilaterally the notification of its intention to withdraw from the EU. Such a revocation, decided in accordance with its own national constitutional requirements, would have the effect that the United Kingdom remains in the EU under terms that are unchanged as regards its status as a Member State."

The EU 27 can agree to an extension (or block it as Banks is claiming Italy, Poland and Hungary will do - how that man isn't in prision is beyond me btw) but the UK can simply withdraw the letter invoking article 50.
