Well this has been a very long and pointless journey to basically just ignore the referendum alltogether, because that's what will happen. There will be no second referendum and a no deal will never be allowed. Basically our shamless and cowardly politicians will withdraw article 50 "for the time being" knowing full well that as time goes on less and less people will care and that they'll never have to invoke it again. This whole fiasco has completely exposed what an utterly worthless, ineffectual, incompetent and corrupt waste of space our entire political system is.
.
This load of nonsense solves nothing ,just goes back to square one were people's views on the EU are still in place, and nothing, zero has been done by the establishment or the EU to rectify the situation that brings about leavers fears or views.
It will solve nothing in the long run remainers are living in denial if they think it will just go and all live happy ever after under the EU flag.
The tories or somebody else will tap into this its to easy a target not to if you want a route into power.
sad times ahead

Mate do you mean UK will stay in the EU eventually?
I think everything will remain exacally as it is mate. Parliament will go about business as usual and every time Brexit is mentioned in the future they'll say that there are more pressing matters to attend to right now. Basically their strategy going forward will be to stick their fingers in their ears and hum as loudly as possible whenever Brexit is mentioned going forward.

Its what happens when political opportunists jump on a chance to help themselves and their mates. Hoodwink the working classes, steamroll changes based on ideals without the means to carry them out, then leave through the back door.

The whole vote stemmed from a manifesto the Tories/Cameron never thought anyone would push or even vote against. It happened and no one had an idea how to see it through. It's taken 2-3 years to sort out something that, if planned properly, would've taken twice as long and at least from a strong economical stand point.

Now, either way, the country is screwed. And that's not being over the top

It will be.
  1. because of the damage it would cause to the UK economy and
  2. because it is incompatible with the UK's obligations under the Good Friday Agreement.

I am loving the way Brexit is being stymied by the Irish question,

It is almost like the spirit of Michael Collins is exacting revenge for the way he was stitched up in 1921

I want to remain but you've nailed it. Irreversible permanent damage. Scotland will be off first chance they get.

I hope we do get a second referendum because the last 3 months have proven that EU are the bad guys and our government is incapable of sorting things out.

So if the vote still remained leave then it would be quite amusing to see them struggle again

No deal will be kicked out tomorrow
Article 50 will then be extended indefinately
This is nailed on at this point.
GE will follow and Brexit will fade away like a bad dream
This however, I doubt. Neither side will want a GE right now. It would more then likely result in another minority government for the Tories again and it's carry on as you were time.

Brexit itself as an issue might eventually go away but the devide that the issue has brought to this country and it's people won't. I'm afraid this episode has irrevocably damaged and devided our nation and it's people in a way that will take generations to heal.
