Nailed it!Well this has been a very long and pointless journey to basically just ignore the referendum alltogether, because that's what will happen. There will be no second referendum and a no deal will never be allowed. Basically our shamless and cowardly politicians will withdraw article 50 "for the time being" knowing full well that as time goes on less and less people will care and that they'll never have to invoke it again. This whole fiasco has completely exposed what an utterly worthless, ineffectual, incompetent and corrupt waste of space our entire political system is.
In some ways the situation we had before the referendum was ideal, people just didn’t appreciate it.
We were part of the EU trading bloc, we had control over our own immigration, we weren’t in the Eurozone but benefited from free travel.
As you say, we’ll now end up still playing by their rules, but have absolutely zero say. If we want to trade with the EU, we have to do so on their terms as that’s how they organise trade, therefore leaving reduces our bargaining power in every way.
Madness invented to line the pockets of the rich, yet dressed up to the common man as a chance to ‘take back control’ whatever that means - we had full control to begin with.
In short, a disaster from beginning to end.

And as a country it's made us look a laughing stock to boot Groucho the way the amateurs in charge have pissed about.
If I was head of the EU I would just kick us out.

Well you shouldn’t have listened to @peteblueThey'll never do that. I was assured that they need us more than we need them![]()
