The only thing out of line was the immediate assumption of racist intent, when nothing was further from the truth. The old racist card is always played by Remainers while losing an argument. The post where I mentioned his name has had not a single reply to the substance of the post, everything has been focussed on the fact I mentioned his name. This tells me far more about the individuals concerned than anything else.....
That particular post was addressed to me Pete and I’m surprised to see you describing me as out of line because of your own words. How did I misinterpret them? At least tag me in if you feel I’m out of line and give me a right of reply.

The truth was, I read your post about Dublin born and raised Varadkar not being as Irish as me due to his heritage and decided that it was time to walk away from that and get some sleep.

It is still completely irrelevant to both his position of Taoiseach and to his leadership of Ireland during Brexit negotiations.

His leadership of Ireland is your concern. He relationship with the U.K. is for us both. I believe that he is the problem in achieving a deal for the benefit of the whole of Europe. He is either politicising the issue for nationalist expansion reasons or he has some beef with the U.K. Either way his background, history and upbringing play a part. I don’t believe that either the ROI or the U.K. will benefit because of this man......I didn’t address this just to you....

Nearly correct. They can access the EU. If there was any potential issue with accessing the U.K. then manufacturing would have stayed. This tells me that they know they will have trade deals with both the EU and the U.K......

It is not solely about accessing markets for sales it is critically important to be able to ensure secure markets for supply of parts for the manufacturing process. I suspect that Nissan and other manufacturers will source parts less and less from UK suppliers, with added tariffs, than from EU where agreement has been reached.

I repeat...it is uncertainty that frightens industry and the UK is seen worldwide as all over the place as regards reliability and predictability in terms of trade.

Really the rest of the world is scratching its head at what the UK is doing or failing to do as regards handling this mess.

You are off again!! "Nationalist expansion". Good Lord I really despair with your logic.

Unionists that are involved in industry that involves trade outside the 6, especially those in Agri-food do not want any change to the free flow across the island. It is not a political but purely economic position.

I doubt it. While the government are not exactly covering themselves in glory, the world are seeing, yet again, the U.K. against the whole of Europe. We will take a knock, but we will regain respect once we have left......

You do realise that Varadkar is a politician not a business man don’t you.....

Where the hell would I even start with the bolded bit?

You are looking for a scapegoat and you felt it appropriate to draw attention to his name as being unlike your own traditional Irish surname. Why did you do that Pete? What isn’t he as Irish as me as you said?

Why can’t I trust him representing my Country in Brexit negotiations?

I don’t trust him. It may be irrational, but I don’t trust him, I think he is screwing everyone up.....

I imagine Nissan probably wanted yet another cash sweetener from the governement in terms of tax breaks/ favourable tarfiffs on trade to build the X-Trail here. The government have probably had enough of giving into Nissan and said no more.

Hahahaha.... have you seen this government recently?!? Have they shown any evidence of the level of spine you're suggesting? They wanted this like a hole in the head.

This is the opening shot across the bow by Nissan. They'll be gone in under a decade if there's a no-deal Brexit.
