this in itself is a telling off!No one is getting told off Frank, so get back in the naughty corner you trumpet.
or maybe I cant! What are you on about? UK Universities get 18% of the money they spend on teaching from the government, with much of this money being spent on very expensive subjects where the tuition fees don't cover the costs of running the course. If the government grant was cut, you would get fewer science related subjects taught, so you wouldn't get your dream world of YMCA nurses.
Universities also get government money to conduct research, most of which goes into making the British economy competitive on a global scale. Maybe @BigBlueNose can explain how incorrect statements can be responded to without appearing to talk down to the individual concerned?
Why have a second referendum when you have the same idiot MPs who will not pass the first one?You just hope propaganda will be in your favour to stay in the EU the mafia of business.....

No, a solid education needs to underpin a healthy democracy. Good job again beeb. These things aren't helped by the press. John Redwood was on Radio 4 this morning telling complete and utter porkies that went utterly unchallenged by John Humphrys. For instance, he trotted out the standard nonsense that Britain trades with all non-EU countries on WTO terms, which is patently untrue as the EU have trade deals with around 50 countries.
He then went on to say that WTO rules are fine and dandy as that's how most other nations trade with each other, which is also patently wrong. Indeed, it's a lie that has already been corrected on the BBC reality check website a year ago after Redwood had previously tried to trot it out - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-41859691
Is it any wonder the public are so badly informed when the media do such a bad job of holding statements to account?
