Ignorantly and lazily. I am neither ignorant nor lazy. I don’t know one single leave voter who is either ignorant or lazy. I do know one or too Remainers however who are......

Do you have to be so Polarised ? Can’t you accept that people have been ill informed throughout the debate , I’m sure on both sides . To simply dismiss some of the staggeringly ignorant things I’ve heard on tv or in interviews by leave supporters seems incredible. I’ll happily accept it that you’ve seen it on the order side , we’re talking about millions of people . So I’ve seen some really frankly world class stupidity , if you haven’t then I’m not sure where you’re getting your news .

You’re clearly not stupid so I’m baffled how you haven’t seen some glaringly stupid , ignorant and offensive comments . To make if clear I’m not painting all leave supporters with the same brush . For example just in the public domain we’ve got people quoted in this thread the Tommy Robinson’s , Daniel Thomas his mate , UKIP leader and anti-Islam loon batten that’s so much of a header most of UKIP have quit . The bloke that organised the protest against Anna Soubry and rang lbc James Goddard or any of the many people I’ve seen interviewed rambling about immigration or those on how the nhs is worse because of the E.U. or how we have to employ so many translators but that’ll stop when we leave or how it’s s new third reich or we can use food shortages against the Irish . Not to mention those higher up in the campaign who have flip flopped their position supported mostly by mindless soundbites.

If you’ve honest not heard one ignorant Brexit supporter in the last couple of years I genuinely find that hard to believe or I suppose it’s possible you agree with the ignorant tosh spouted.

think in reality Pete people on both sides who have different levels of engagement in the subject, from just feeling its the right way or the other , to a brief understanding of the subject(most of the posters on here, me included] to people who just pick soundbites up and just repeat as if repeating it often makes it a fact , don't think one side or the other has exclusive rights to anybody in either of those categories, be a bit nuts to think we are all so very different than the people with opposing views .

I see the Xmas truce has come to a end, you can all debate we all have different veiws, but the remaining fact is a democratic vote needs to be carried out not just from the referendum, and the last GE both major paties manefesto stated we would be honouring the referendum , and both parties stated we would be leaving the EU - now we have an impass..... the saga goes on ......
Even if we had a 2nd vote before we have not enacted the first vote as yet totally anti democratic imo......

Bold bit is the killer for me. I'm a man of logic - I just want one good reason why it's worth it. Just one, solid, irrefutable reason why we're doing it. If they can give me that, then I can rationalise it to a degree.

There has quite literally never been one uttered from anyone. It seems like a massive case of heart over head, the whole thing.

That’s because there is no ‘one’ reason, whether for being in the E.U. or out of the E.U. There are however many reasons that when combined suggest we are better to leave, rangingfrom control of our own laws, control of our own policies, control of our taxation, control of our own waters, disposing of foreign politicians creating our laws, not having 27 other nations having a veto over our trade policies, not contributing to E.U. budgets, controlling our own foreign aid, allowing our government to assist industries how they wish, having our own foreign policy, not being part of a European army, not becoming part of an ever centralising EU super state, just for starters......

I’ve heard lots of ignorant Brexit supporters, I just don’t know any of them......

i wanted out and still do @Joey66, its turned into a farce though mate, we are all going on at each other, when the reality is we will all end up in a situation than neither side wants thanks to those running the show.
We can be civil each other hopefully, most of the time.

Yes it is a mess they should vote Mays deal down unless she alters it dramatically which is highly unlikely, and imo get a WTO deal with a years grace from the EU, and a deal on free trade just for car manufacturing which would stabilise the EU, and us !
The Japanese have a good deal on the table for us - Whale meat anyone a disgusting cruel practice of fishing, and my late mother told me it was in the UK in the war years to bulk up rationing - She stated although starving in a five children family it tasted disgusting, and no one in the family 7 of them would eat the Whale meat it was like rubber, very spongy they told the local butcher no more thank you!

I am sure the EU will agree mate.

I think from your post you’re looking at this from a similar position to me . I’ve seen and heard nothing that indicates that the EU are remotely interested in such a deal never mind we’ve got a couple of months to negotiate and sign it off . Sadly it can probably be filed with the comments that German manufacturing won’t let It happen , that it’ll be the easiest deal in history or that the U.K. hold all the cards .

@Joey66

They would if we had a tougher negotiation stance - no good signing a crap deal than start shouting at junker as may did - her deal messed everything up as a brexiteer I don't like it - So voting down, and start again on WTO rules now as she has blown any chance a WTO deal would wake the EU up.....

We will when we walk away on WTO mate you will see a hurried meeting, and concessions from the EU then....

For all we know mate, this deal could be a massive improvement on the one the EU first offered us.

We are where we are, and where we deserve to be. Great eh?

In your opinion obviously Joe, I’m just not convinced. I’m sure you’ll agree we’ve heard variations on that theme for years but as yet nothing remotely similar to it has happened .

I am extremely concerned about a no deal Brexit so I’d just much rather it didn’t happen . If it does I sincerely hope you’re right but you can understand my scepticism.
