moonlighting more like..... but really bruce calling a fellow blues a turd- your a mod FGS?

I don't think I've called you a turd today Joe. If you believe me to be slacking I'm happy to oblige, although I'm off to bed soon so you'll have to be quick with any special requests. Bed means bed*

*except for last minute calls to nature that I'm in no way prepared for

No the EU has advised all its members to prepare for a No Deal Brexit as well. The Irish government have already put measures in place to deal with the impending chaos.

It all points to one outcome due to the deadlock at Westminster. Cheers Britain.

What can Ireland put in place to prepare for a potential loss of billions of trade with the U.K. Seriously, what preparations can they do ? I’d love to know......

Sounds ominous:

"The British government has said that 3,500 armed forces personnel are being kept ready to support it with its contingency plans as part of preparations for a no-deal Brexit.

The government said that it would implement plans for a no-deal Brexit in full, and begin telling businesses and citizens to prepare for the risk of leaving the EU without an agreement.

The plans also include setting aside space on ferries to ensure a regular flow of medical supplies."

The biggest OG in history looks about to happen.

Yep, all the scare stories are circulating in order for May to get her deal through. But when it gets thrown out, as it will, we will either move to no deal or the EU will amazingly discover that the agreement can be renegotiated......

Great moderation as always Bruce........I forget though you did call me an idiot!

We have seen some crazy things recently regarding politics so you can never say never, but I'm fairly confident in my own mind that they won't get the 305+ votes required.

All it needs is for the Tory rebels to decide loyalty is more important than common sense, and for the DUP not to be bought off.

So not that much then.

We don’t need a vote for no deal, just a rejection of the deal that May produced. At last it feels like we are going to face off the EU and dare them to have no deal......which I am more than happy for at the moment......

Forgive my ignorance but I'm just trying to get my head around the realities of a no deal. On the 30th of March tariffs will apply to goods flowing in and out of the country? We would not be free to travel around continental Europe (or Ireland) without a visa? New customs checks on Ireland and other land borders?

The amount of physical infrastructure alone to deal with the above would be staggering. It's just not going to happen is it.

So far, May has really been accommodating of the EU, thinking that they would reciprocate. She has little experience in neither negotiating nor European proclivity for arrogance. I really hope she has learned something this last week.

If she has, she will push no deal for all it’s worth and finally show the EU that we are not messing around. If she does, they will come back to the negotiating table and find solutions to those things that were impossible. And if they don’t then so be it, we will take a short term 2-3 year hit then progress, while they work out where to get their finance from........

It’s already in place, apart from Ireland, and we’ve already said we are not putting any barriers in place. That’s all down to the EU and ROI if they want them.....

From what I understand the MPs can have an input to how this plays out now. I think there will be more than just a vote on May's deal so it won't just default back to a position of no deal.
