Got to be good odds on her at some point this week pointing to her heritage and the history of famines during the Raj; the political equivalent of "my granddad was black so I cannot be a racist".
Her being from an Indian background is what makes it all the more galling. If Farage or Johnson had said it it wouldn't have been surprising at all.

What sort of sorry degenerate tit suggests starving people?

I don't think she thought about the practicalities though. Aside from the not so friendly history towards/with the Irish (I like understatements), and the morality of trying to starve people. Ireland is literally within touching distance of two of the world's biggest ports: Rotterdam and Antwerp. Unless she's going to block said ports, using the British navy, she would have little success.

It’s pretty funny really, could you imagine the actual scenario!

That’s cool UK, hello every other country in the Europe. In fact it’s likely some form of this will happen anyway in the provision or lack of a trade deal.

Ireland is the UK 5th biggest export market, (presently).

Of course that’s a double edged sword with the UK being Ireland big export market. (Presently).

Maybe she is not aware of the Famine, because I can't believe anyone who knows what happened could have made such a crass comment.
She is from the same party as karen Bradley the Northern Ireland sectary who wasn't aware of the deep seated religious devide before taking the job, says a lot of what the Tories think about the place, putting an air head like that in office.
Well that's unless they need the votes.
