An absolute shambles, and the only way to avoid serious consequences now is by staying in. Which I know leave voters don't want to hear but I think the Country is overwhelmingly against this pathetic deal she has come up with.

So no deal and a 2nd referendum are the only routes to go down. No Deal would do a lot of damage and so the 2nd referendum is the only fair way to decide it.

They would have to call it WTO terms or something rather than no deal on the ballot paper. Not sure the Government would want to have that on there though.
I voted leave and have repeatedly said I would sooner stay in than have that deal on offer and if asked to vote would do that.
Only problem is I would still want to leave the EU and would be a little bit fed up that my vote had been ignored on top off that,
it wouldnt make anti EU voters go away and sit quietly in the corner.
I suspect there would at some stage be a backlash in the near future.
First against the Tories then against the establishment who will be seen as ignoring them , which was one of the reasons for the vote in the first place, it will just compound those feelings
It will be a goldmine of resentment for anybody wanting power to tap into.
To be honest I can't see a good outcome at all from this now.

How would you like to leave the EU then mate? Genuine question.

Because that's the big thing in all of this - nobody has provided an alternative way to May. They just keep spouting nonsense. Not saying you are or will, but I'm genuinely interested as to what your personal solution would be.

Of course the other option is have a general election and see if the tories have the guts to do a leave campaign and labour to do a stay campaign...

And then we end up staying in the EU because a load of kids wanted free uni and left wing policies, or because everyone is sick of Theresa May's face?

That's the problem with a GE - it's not just about Brexit.

It would completely dominate though, which obviously isnt right...so its probably not a good idea

People are people.

And Brexit means Brexit.

It might be wise for us to start thinking about how to present those people who actually can vote in British elections with a better offer, if we want to start winning said elections instead of just online arguments.

Have you read the UN austerity report yet?

Spain does t have a veto despite what you read, a majority vote is enough to approve it
They do afterwards on UK trade deals.... as do every other EU country as out trade deals are no enshrined in law unlike the divorce the cart before the horse scenario they get their main EU thing in law and trade .... not in law very convenient it makes me wonder a kid a 11 for us could have done a better deal........

To be honest with you without doing an essay.
I wanted a trade deal nothing else, same as other countries around the world have
if that meant equalising a few laws so be it, so long as it was mutually beneficial .
Wasn't really an issue for me free movement as I have said we had the tools there to deal with it , but the government chose not to use them, if people had made there homes here had jobs and skills we needed I personally would want to let them carry on doing just that, hopefully the EU would feel the same way..
Northern Ireland I don't have a hang up over , they voted in let them be in a situation that. Let's them be in both camps which seems to be on offer, seems to me the majority over there would be on a winner.
I am not really a Unionists , wouldn't care if Scotland ect went there own way if there people wanted that , so it would be a bonus if we left and got rid of them as well;)
Of course I don't have to get it through parliament so it sounds easy.

I did twelve months ago. I'm just a disgraceful mod though so wisely discounted.
No you never no way did you have 580 pages legal on this site of our divorce with the EU - and a flimsy 28 page future trade agreement on this non legal posted on this thread - Are you one of those people whose head does not fit through your door?.........Silly question you would have to google that -lol
No one could have imagined May the liar could have cooked something up like this a waste of 49 million Euros , but it will never happen, Rabb today stated it will be better to stay in with this shambolic deal , and I agree with him, independence day will happen in the future when the EU goes bust.......
That will be the 6th referendum they will have overturned great democrocy =not......

is ireland one? what were the other 4 out of interest?

Heard of a thing called passport at airports and ferrys in the North or travelling from the Republic of Ireland over to the UK?
Or perhaps get those pesky identification cards done Gordon Brown scrapped......
As for seeing it coming no one on this thread predicted that May would lie and sell the UK down the toilet - we might as well stay in the deal is that bad..........
She may be saved for a while if the Spanish veto it and Germany don't sign up at the weekend......
It's a dogs mess the divorce was 580 pages of legal guff the horse cart - the horse 26 pages not legally binding negotiations going on in perpetuity......
Look back on all this threads post who predicted this?.......
Not you or I...........

So you’re going to pass an act that U.K. citizens have to carry ID cards to solve the Irish border situation ? Firstly good luck passing that , secondly how long to you think it’ll take and thirdly what’s your estimate on cost to implement £20-30m ? When we’ve got the scheme who enforces it , do the police stop and question suspected foreigners for their papers ? Im not sure it sounds a great and completely workable solution to be honest and given police numbers and the overall current reaction of many to stop and search that it’d go down to well .

Or the passports at ports and airports in the north what do you mean exactly because it’s been mentioned a many times in this thread if people travel from south to north then there won’t be a border so nobody can check them. nobody can check them from say Belfast to Liverpool because we don’t have A passport requirement unless your ID scheme comes in but it’ll still need further legislation because it wouldn’t be police checking it’s be UKBA and they’re travelling with the U.K. .

The border is as much as anything a cause for this because they just can’t square the circle , however hard they try . As I’ve said the line is the Irish Sea would probably be the best of a bad job but I don’t think whoever was in charge that’d ever been accepted.

The deal doesn’t stop them traveling from south to north then to the U.K. does it ? I haven’t seen that if it does I’ll be honest .

I’ve read your post quoting the report you’ve seen but to ask the question that’s been asked many times , how do you stop them? You don’t have passport checks from the the north to the mainland because it’s within the U.K. . It’s fine someone reporting that they don’t have free movement into the U.K. I can see that would be logical but unless we change legislation to check that movement I’m not sure how we stop it .
