just had a brief look at the deal announcement, few interesting bits workers rights are protected,EU court human rights to stay, UK may still be involved with the EU investment bank.
looks like love or loathe her she has tried to put a little bit in for everybody.
vague on fishing could cost her the scottish tory vote if i have read it correctly.

...regarding fishing, I think the term is they have ‘kicked the can down the street’. Deals will be negotiated in years to come.

Kicking the can ? This deal might has well be renamed that to be fair , seems to run through it like a bar of rock .

...if I understand it correctly, the 500 page document is legally binding withdrawal agreement, whereas the more recent document is a ‘political statement’ setting out what the new arrangement will look like. As you say, plenty of the detail is still to be agreed.

This one isn’t legally binding and will certainly further detach the hard-line Brexiteers but might be enough in the short-term to satisfy those who preach a soft Brexit.

My old boss used to class a old Tory cabinet member Billy Whitlaw as Billy whitewash this deal has a similar ring to it a whitewash - don't get me wrong I wanted a good fair trade deal in equal favours this seems a bit one sided in the EUs favour - I doubt it will get passed by the HOC but tbh TBH
Hope it gets passed to end the Brexit argument, but this deal could go on for eternity the way it's been drafted.......
She has given up to much ground the final draft is not legally binding.......
The withdrawal on is - it's a cart before the horse imo.......

Indeed.

The Brexiteer zealots in Parliament, in the right wing press and indeed here on GOT are well out of step with the reasonable person on the street who is hoping this deal goes through and puts an end to the hard Brexit wet dream of Rees Mogg and his preposterous sidekick, Mr. Francois.
Hard Brexit= Welfare for Work,as you say Reece Mogg will need to change his sheets.

But the UK voted out its called democrocy Bruce.....
It's no good saying the EU is not perfect the defending it.......
Democracy/Brexit.....everybody gets what nobody wants.......Barry in Auf Wieder sehen Pet after a vote on what colour to paint the inside of their living quarters

...it’s been a complete Horlicks, it should’ve been a cross-party approach from the outset. A deal could’ve been negotiated that suited a majority in the House of Commons. Standing Committees work well and they contain members from across the House.

It was the way to go. Instead it’s been divisive and protracted.

And not helped by the fact that the architect of this debacle, Cameron, ran away from it with indecent haste.
