sadly pete you are correct , have been saying it would end up like this from near the morning after the result from the delaying tactics, talk about a second vote, project doom, ever weaker stance on brexit from ,brexit means brexit to checkers to whatever this bull is called, this bollocks will never get voted through and they know it,throw in a few new EU demands along the way just to make sure.
End up in limbo, no chance of a no deal , they havnt got balls for it, and a second vote somewhere along the line with a few crumbs thrown in by the EU to make it look good.
lots of brexit voters will say whats the point they dont listen anyway.
Labour will pick up a good few to give the Tories a good kicking.
then sadly we wait for a populist to use the apathy shown to the voters wishes to get into power.

Which is a good thing, given what the negative consequences of a no deal would be for this Country.

not even worth discussing , may as well talk about, will santa fit down your chimney if he eats all the mince pies that have been left out for him, as there is about as much chance of you getting a sweep in to remove santa as there is of a no deal happening.

Not so sure about that...

No Deal is the default option if nothing else gets through Parliament. It WILL happen - unless something else supplants it first.

But there is probably not enough support in Parliament for May's preliminary deal.

And that leaves either an election (which neither extends Article 50 nor resolves Brexit, necessarily, and which the DUP and Tories are desperate to avoid) or a second referendum (the terms of which will also need to be approved in Parliament, and which will also seriously harm the Tories).

It is a certainty that No Deal will be a disaster, defying even the BoE's ability to jolt the spasming corpse that is our economy back into life via QE bubble, like it did after the 2016 vote.

But politics always prevails over economics.

think this deal will be voted down, unless May comes back with something to placate the DUP, but there will be a mad scramble to cobble together something on both sides as the date gets nearer or more than likely mutually extended leaving date in some form or other , think there was a case won on appeal last week about if you can in fact stop article 50 once it has been implemented, it had been lost in the scottish high courts but is going on to the EU courts ,it would give them a get out of jail card if it suited them.
Its a mess anybody's guess how it will end up, but it will be more to do with the tory /DUP parties interests than what is best for the country that will be the deciding factor in the end game.

He's also dispelling the myth that Brexit is the wet dream of old, white men by the looks of it.
so no ethnic voters voted leave Bruce is that what your saying, well just google it , you will find out different.
Or is this just a lazy stereotype your using , your better than that mate, why not just call older white folk hammys or something its not racist because they voted Brexit its fair game isnt it?

It won't happen because as much as it would damage the UK, it would also cause significant damage and disruption to the EU. Therefore they would allow us an extension to get things done, or ramp up the pressure to abandon Brexit altogether.

The Government would have no where to go and would have to agree to an extension or go to another vote again.

I don’t think I’ve seen anyone do it but Calling them gammon doesn’t seem a lot different to calling remainers remoaners, a word which is used with remarkable frequency by at least one poster in this thread .

not me, on the issue of leaving the EU, but if it was this half baked deal on offer or just staying in i would vote to stay in this time to be honest.
Its a complete cock up.

I’ve been open and it’s obvious I’m a remainer but I’ve never wanted a second referendum but this now I honestly don’t know , it’s such a mess. I don’t know how much I really blame her because in truth I don’t know how you square the necessary circles of this deal but this at the face of it appears to be close to the worst of all worlds rather than the best .
