The deal has been agreed. The EU are not going to renegotiate it. The UK now either takes it or crashes out without a deal.

Or preferably the UK abandons Brexit completely which is what the majority of people now want according to polls taken today.

Not a great deal but covers off most of what ordinary leavers said they wanted. Any workable alternatives? Anyone?

ask the USA can we become the 51 State (or 53 depending how you count it).
we get a massive market,
can vote Trump out,
have the biggest armed forces on the planet by far.
it would piss the French off.
we get good dentist
they get good haircuts
they can have a queen/king again sure they would make loads of money out of them
and we could offer to repaint the white house as a sweetener
+ i can have a fkn big gun

They would take no deal all day every day. Said it from day one, why would they look to give us a really good deal when they would be signing their own death warrants. We get one then the nationalists will rise in every EU country demanding the same.

And that’s fine with me. And when we make a success of it, those same countries will do the same. The EU knows that it must control us and keep us down, otherwise we will do what we are good at and make a success of it......

Letting Germany and France mop up the little that will be left of UK manufacturing a good idea? They'll welcome Japanese car companies with open arms,so will Spain come to think of it.

However you carve up the world, the U.K. is still the 5th biggest economy and will remain the EU’s largest trading partner. People will still invest here, sell cars here, and make good profits.......

I can’t believe may doesn’t want the best possible deal , I can’t stand the woman but she can’t want this . It’s car crash stuff , if there is a better deal why doesn’t she get it . I just struggle to understand why she’d torpedo her own political career and frankly her legacy .

She is a Remainer and a compromiser. She is not a negotiator. She is being led by the civil service who love the EU. She will torpedo her political career because she doesn’t listen, just look at the mess she made of the general election where she managed to hack off one of the biggest groups of conservative supporters, the over 60’s......

I tried to keep up with all this in the van, but only really got bits and bobs, and ministers resigning all over the shop.

But this deal isnt a final deal is it? Its like a work in progress, allowing us and the EU to trade still, until we work through other stuff. The sticking point being that the UK cant leave this temporary arrangement without the EU agreeing?

The problem is that the EU are suggesting that this deal provides the basis for a future deal. The problem being that this deal provides the basis for just remaining part of the EU, which is what our elite want it to be......
