Do you think it will though , or will they just kick the problem down the road for a bit ?

Quite possibly the latter.

But that is OK too, population and voting patterns will take care of the border eventually (provided a certain party evolves its position beyond 1906).

It is crashing out without some kind of a compromise in place that threatens bith the peace and prosperity of NI.

If it resolves the problems over the border in Ireland then it is far from the “worst of both worlds”, Joe.
Just can't see it getting through if it's the deal reported we have one foot in, and one foot out the remainers in government don't like it - the devil will be in the detail one can hope it's a good deal?

For once, I agree mate. The snippets 5 Live have suggest its the fudge we all feared. Like you say, Out, but controlled by Brussels in many areas.

I posted ages ago, partly in jest, that May, (a Remainer) will present a deal so rubbish that she knows it will have no chance of HOC approval, and we will end up staying in after all.

Perhaps I was right.

BBC Televised news dont seem to think Macron an Merkels comments on an EU army to warrant any coverage. Interesting.

It's sort of irrelevant to Brexit, because we've always been the ones who have made such an idea laughably implausible.

Now we're leaving, who knows - it's a way to consolidate power and diminish the world power of the UK even further.

So in short, it might happen now, but it'd have never have happened if we'd have stayed.

TBH it is a laughably implausible idea, at least at how they will do it. You can't have an army that has at least five languages, an equitable division of senior posts and with 27 governments having a veto on every deployment.

If on the other hand they'd spent the time since the Treaty of Rome was signed actually doing something to bring about actual unity - teaching everyone in the EU a common language for example, or reducing the power of the nation states with regards to foreign policy in favour of communal action and defence - it would be a very strong bulwark of our collective security and would prevent an awful lot of grief.

The worry is it's not staying in it's a no deal alternative on sky news tonight the DUP are not happy so it's no chance of getting through....
Calling each cabinet member tonight individually is a joke......

The irony is, this is one of the reasons I voted to Remain. Not the exact situation, obviously, but the Not Really Understanding What We Will End Up With position.

Unlike many, I didnt believe the codswallop from Rees Mogg, Boris, and Farage.

I’d suggest you probably can in that it’d be a military that works and cooperates in the way that NATO does with the same myriad of languages and varying commanders depending on the situation .

That's was your prerogative, but unfortunately the vote went Out - I agree it's been badly mismanaged by May, but it has not shown the EU in a good light either - a good free trade deal should have been a priority early on not the last issue.....

Yea, @tsubaki idea seems like a nightmare to me like, but I can see why the EU would rather procurement didn't mean giving billions to Trumps backers, but rather aided r&d/jobs in Europe.
