Yeah?

I'm saying if you are surprised the EU have this position when it has literally always been the case that they'd have this position, then you're thick.

I'm not saying everyone who voted for Brexit is thick, but I'm saying the mob that just did it because "screw foreigners, RULE BRITANNIA" and so on are indeed thick as two short planks if they're somehow now stunned by this situation.
See my response to Bruce a couple of posts on, and I accept your explanation on your definition of thick.

We agree on something then.
I'll be the first to admit that there would be mass disruption when we left, and I'm almost scared to say there would be pain, but I can only reiterate that I thought we had the leaders in public office to mitigate that pain and strike a meaningful deal when leaving.
So back to my continuing theme, politicians from here on can go and whistle for my vote.

The reputation of politicians hasn’t been good but it’s surely suffered over this , it’s the first time their comments and actions have really been under the microscope to this extent and people don’t like what they see I’m sure .

The problem is what that does to the public because I worry the non standard politics of the likes of what we’ve seen in the states and much of Europe might gain a foothold.

At least May seems to understand the EU a little bit better today......embarrassing for her but a good lesson anyway.

I thought Ian Duncan Smith summed the situation up nicely “But it does open the door to remind people why so many voted to leave. They're sick and tired of the dictatorial, bossy, lecturing nature of the European Union.”.....

Only, no one with even a modicum of nous is falling for the “it’s Johnny Foreigners fault” routine.

Utter chod from utter charlatans like Ian Duncan Smith won’t alter that.

We'll go it alone, the Dunkirk spirit, we were on rations before the EU and we were healthier than we've ever been, send the buggers back!

The EU dont respect her; her own party dont respect her; the country doesn't respect her. Imagine having a dope like that leading negotiations for the future of your contry, that's be ridiculous....hold on.......

Yeah, what we need is this guy....respected by the whole of the U.K. and the EU, one of the finest negotiators ever......stop it Pete, even Davek doesn’t believe this......

Spot on.
This is only the start in my humble honest opinion.
As you've probably detected already, it will take something pretty seismic now for me to trust any politician now.
I'm sure that in any vacuum caused by apathy amongst people like myself, mischief, to put it politely, will flourish.
