We survived without the EU 50 years ago Joey, the world has changed. And your looking at the situation with tunnel vision; it’s not a case of we survived before so it’ll all click back into place because we are so intertwined into it that it’s almost impossible to unravel.

You’re showing that you don’t understand the relationships between the member states. Anyway rather than you stating “we survived before brexit” why don’t you answer the below scenario and maybe you’ll see one of the hundreds of issues we may encounter:

- Port of Dover does the most trade with the eu via the cross channel routes. At present 99% of customs checks are conducted at Calais
- Dover does not have space or infrastructure to cover 100% of checks, holding 1 vehicle for more than 30 second will start a chain reaction that will eventually lead to 25 mile tailbacks due to the volume.
- On Brexit France have stated that checks cannot be conducted at Calais

How do we control this at the border??

pass them through with a smile and no checks, whilst waving a wee union jack?
