I'm not going to explain the £350 million equivalent any more.

If you don't get it, or understand it, not my problem...

May have been posted before as it's from 2017, but part of the issue is videos like this where Johnson continues to insist about the £350m figure which has proven to be false. He stands by his stance about £350m that we do not control, which is blatantly an inaccurate figure when considering the money we get back.

Brexit fiasco is getting more bizarre by the day the genie is well and truly out of the bottle brexit has been used for the far right wing for a power grab xenophobic tories are wrecking the uk. The eu have funded many projects on Merseyside to improve quality of life and create jobs no chance any tory gov will continue funding any projects that reduce deprivation and poverty

Not only are people coming here to spend money and do business being held up by our excellent #managedmigration staff, but many are being put off completely from coming here to offer their skills and money.

https://www.theguardian.com/busines...exit-supply-shock-fewer-eu-citizens-arrive-uk

"The number of people applying for the average low-skilled vacancy has fallen from 24 to 20 in the past year and from 19 to 10 for medium-skilled posts. "

It underlines the absolute barminess of thinking that integration with the EU is just about tariffs, when in the global, knowledge economy, the free movement of people, knowledge and ideas is far more valuable. I think that's the equivalent of a bloody mess, but maybe our resident expert on equivalents can advise ;)

And in other #tradingwiththeworld news, corporate donations to the Tories are down considerably since they have veered towards a hard Brexit.

https://osf.io/preprints/socarxiv/4svrx/

The paper above finds that donations increased significantly as a result of Corbyn's election to Labour leader (ie companies dislike him), and dropped considerably as the Tories veered towards a hard Brexit (ie companies dislike that). We're left with a bizarre situation where both parties claim to want to make trade easy etc. yet UK plc actively dislike what both parties are standing for.

You'd think Pete, Joe and OldBlue would see through the mirage of this #tradingwiththeworld nonsense by now.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand once again some on here get hold of the wrong end of the stick completely.

Selective quoting. Total lack of a sense of humour.

Jeez, I've been surprised by many posts in this thread over many months, but a simple humorous tilt at 'political correctness' and the like and the usual suspects appear.

I won't bother any more in this thread. A prime example of no sense of humour, and having a go at every turn at a certain element who post in here simply because of a vote. Those who do so should be utterly ashamed of themselves. If you can attack somebody over emerita/emeritus, and the joke pertaining to it, then jeez, get a life!

Do you not think you're over reacting a bit? What 'attack' was there?
