sometimes I think the difference between American and English right-wing nationalism is that while American flag-wavers are genuinely ignorant of how backwards their country is relative to say, France, or New Zealand, or Japan, English old boys like Bojo or Rees-Mogg know this well and actually welcome it, out of nostalgia and sheer pig-headed stubborness.
it just wouldn't be Blighty if you could, for example, be employed in the public sector without needing after-hours part-time jobs to support your family, or travel to work on time by train for less than a quarter of your annual salary.

We don't have to recreate the World outside the EU the commonwealth countries are still there....
Plus so is south east Asia which is booming unlike the EU who our trade apart from cars is diminishing!
