I thought we were right to enter the EEC, I believe we are right to leave the EU.......

Which is your right, though of course what has happened is that you've benefited from your first decision and then have nothing to fear from your second. The thing that does my head in is that the one group of retirees who would be seriously effected by this were the ones who were not allowed to vote in it.

which is fine, I think a lot of people feel that way.
The problem is, rather than negotiate a position in the EU that is more in keeping with what the EEC was, you sent Cameron in for some failed negotiations and then voted to leave with no systems and structures in place. You have, in effect, thrown the baby out with the bathwater.
Your vote was irresponsible.
The responsible thing to do would have been to continue negotiating till you get what works for you and your neighbours, to work on changing the EU from within.

That’s quite a disgraceful comment against someone who served in our armed forces and spent the rest of his life building what you enjoy today, just because he exercised his democratic right to vote Leave. Incidentally, did you vote to join the EU.....

Thanks Pete but it doesn't bother me. Just confirmed the quality of the argument coming back and the naivety of some of the views. Their views will change as they mature.

My sister is married to a German guy. Has lived in Germany for 35 years. I have been over several times, not afraid of anything. You shouldn't jump to conclusions.
IS RIGHT. ROAR LIKE LIONS ONCE MORE SHEEPLES, THE EU HAVE BEEN PUTTING STUFF IN OUR WATER TO MAKE US COWARDS, WE'LL SHOW EM!

I didn’t send Cameron in to do anything. My vote is always of a responsible nature....

Eh! Leavers didn't send Cameron in. I agree with 'failed negotiations' but that was because Cameron was a remainer and didn't really want to change anything. The fact that he walked away without preparing for a leave situation will be his legacy. He abdicated his responsibilities as a remainer.

Dont think many would disagree with that.
