And I spent the 20 years before that in a country that traded with the world and we will do so again. In 10 years time, the EU will have either imploded or will have morphed into the dictatorship to which it is heading. Either way, even remainers will look back and thank us for voting out.

As has been mentioned probably hundreds of times in this thread, over half of British exports go outside the EU at the moment, so how exactly does being in the EU stop British companies 'trading with the world'? Indeed, in that study you dismissed, exports outside the EU have dropped since the vote to leave.

Er, tell that to Greece.

How have the EU influenced the labour market in Greece?

It's perhaps rather unfortunate that the four principle Brexiteers on this thread (Pete, Joe, OldBlue and Maltusulah) are all pensioners who fit the demographic to a tee.
Those of a similar demographic, but younger, work so haven't had as much time to work out how to turn on a computer.

I think that - given the developments in the country since your generation took over - its probably best that you'll never get to hear what successive generations think of you.

I don’t remember anyone asking me my political leanings, age or qualifications, or how I voted. Did anyone on this forum get asked any of those questions ?.....

That’s quite a disgraceful comment against someone who served in our armed forces and spent the rest of his life building what you enjoy today, just because he exercised his democratic right to vote Leave. Incidentally, did you vote to join the EU.....

Pete - he specifically said that "even remainers will look back and thank us for voting out". I disagree with him.

At your age you should avoid high horses.
