Indeed. We’ve spent more time negotiating with ourselves, in public, than negotiating with the EU. The EU have been complicit in this by attempting to ridicule any proposals and using derogatory phrases at all times......

Cant say I blame them if I am honest.

What good will would there possibly be if we waltz off in a no deal strop? I’m merely pointing out the realities of what that would actually affect and the 759 treaties that we’d fall out of on the 28th March, as per you’ve got absolutely bugger all to come back with barring waffle and meaningless soundbites. Wake up man.

How many of these 759 treaties have we already addressed, what is the government programme for the completion of each, what progress is currently being made and does it show that we are ahead or behind the plan. Now I don’t know, and I suspect neither do you. What I do know is if this was such a big deal then the Remainers in parliament, to which I’m currently listening, might have mentioned it......

This is our exchange Pete.
You have left out my post on nothing wrong with controlled immigration...
How convieniant .......
Also we have a skill shortage so controlled immigration is a necessity ATM...
it's all inmaterial as the EU freedom of movement in enshrined in EU law so I expext the white paper to be rejected over many things.......not just the point I made .....
We have to be pro immigration as we were before we joined the EU ......
The fact that controlled imigration has rose proves that!
Skill shortages ....

Perhaps, but this is not a bureaucratic game, long term relationships between the EU and U.K. will either be forged or destroyed depending on their approach. So far, even one or two Remain voters are not too happy with the arrogant and condescending attitude of Brussels, in respect of a relationship that will affect over 500 Million people.......

I wish I had kept the magazine article from the Sunday Times. But Liam Fox's dept are actually doing tons behind the scenes. I wish it/they got more exposure, cos it deffo soothed some of my concerns. Worth a Google Pete.

If we walk with no deal, none of them will have been addressed.

Welcome to the point.

“MPs have divided to vote on the third reading of the Trade Bill. This is the last stage in the Commons, before it heads off to the Lords for consideration.
The bill establishes the groundwork for an independent trade policy after the UK leaves the EU.”

Comfortable win for the government.....

If I did, it wasnt deliberate.

Anyrate, as Pete alluded to, we have moved on. But my point was in response to him saying "we" waded in, was that you raised the issue, not me, or "us".

What it will do is bring the member states into the discussion. The elite in Brussels have bust a gut to keep them out. There will be several years of hassle for both us and the EU (with more for the EU) but the impact in the real world, as against the ivory towers in Brussels, will ensure a reasonable deal gets ironed out in the long run.

4 Labour MPs and the paid for support of the DUP isn't comfortable, even for her.

No, it won't. A no deal Brexit with this Government would be horrifying - for a start, there are 1.5 million Brits and 3.5 million EU citizens who would have no legal right to live where they have lived for some time; would you or anyone trust the likes of Rees-Mogg not to start the send-them-back dance?
