Only for none of those who campaigned to leave to step up into the void either. These are the prats we're supposed to be giving back control to.

Now, now, Bruce. Screw your head onto your shoulders and turn the control on your brain from 'off' to 'on'.

We have gone over this MANY times before in this thread.

The Referendum was the campaign.

That was totally separate from implementation.

The outcome was for the Government of the day to implement, NOT the campaigners. Remember, the Referendum was cross-party, so (and keep up here Bruce) there were many Leave campaigners who could NOT be part of the implementation process).

(For the benefit of those who are fairly new to this thread, this was gone over again and again in the first 1,000 pages of this thread.)

Bruce is having his bi-monthly pretend brain-fart...

Ok, only mildly patronising. You clearly advocated your support for leaving having given no thought as to the implication of it either. I mean why would you bother to think that through? Actually considering whether what you propose is a good idea, whether it's a feasible idea or what the risks involved in it are is utterly ridiculous in the brain dead world of the leave voter. Always easier to pass the buck and the blame onto other people.

Seriously, I cannot fathom why you can't get your head around the concept of a leave campaigner following logic akin to "I think leaving is a good idea because we can improve x,y and z, which I believe we can change effectively in a, b and c ways, which in turn have a x% likelihood of success." Why is that less absurd than "We should leave, just because. Over to you Dave."

Well it is your fault for not getting behind the notion.

The thing I find baffling is that Johnson, Gove et al were senior members of the Cameron government, so they'd have been party to that, and you'd think given that they were going to push to leave should have pushed for some plans to be in place should they win. That absolutely no one, even those who thought leaving was a great idea, did any planning as to what leaving might actually entail is staggering.

Like I said in a previous post Bruce, jaws hit the floor when we were told that the government did not want any contingency in place. For me it’s basic, I have designed continuity plans, in conjunction with other partners, for the opening of Liverpool 2 and the possibility of 2 post Panamax vessels colliding in the Mersey. Theres a 0.000000001% chance of that happening, but if it did at least there’s something in place for a response.

The government showed a real arrogance and bore line incompetency and not one person has been held accountable. In fact I don’t even think it’s public knowledge that agencies were told not to plan

Wonderfully constructed reply, Bruce, I'll give you that.

BUT, you didn't answer my point.

You're a politician, aren't you, Bruce?

Fess up, who are you, really...?

(Full reply to the above quote will come later.)

Taking back control of all of those laws and rules that impinge on your life so much, and you’re that eager to see them gone.....that you can’t name any of them.....

Barnier has reacted positively to the proposed deal already btw. Do you think that she’s concocted all of this without any kind of discourse with the EU behind the scenes?
Yep she had a split cabinet...
