On point of accuracy - no we haven't. Until we invoke Article 50 we remain a full member of the EU, and Cameron has already said that he won't invoke Article 50.

What's very likely to happen is that we are going to inform the EU of our demands for remaining in - likely to include an exemption from free movement and a reduction in the "membership fee" we pay each year. The EU will decide whether or not they want to accept our terms. If they accept, there will be a second referendum here to see if the public are happy with the new terms. If they don't accept, Article 50 will get invoked.

What he actually said was that he wouldn't invoke Article 50, because it would be for the new PM to do.

As for what you predict will happen, I agree that what the political class will want to do - they after all are all desperately searching for a way out, when they aren't blaming Corbyn - but it would have an absolutely toxic effect on this country and on the EU if they did that. For that reason I would be amazed if the EU entertained it, it would lead to all manner of scenes as individual countries held referenda just to strengthen their own negotiating positions.

Both sides have said there won't be renegotiations about the UK staying in. The EU can't afford to be seen to be weak.

That won't wash with the electorate plus Cameron has already announced his resignation. We're gone, and they have bigger fish to fry keeping the rest of the EU together.

Yep, spolit kids who cant take that they lost fairly in a democratic vote. The social media brats embarressing themselves by accusing everyone of beiing racist because they didnt get their way.

Much more "mature" people were claiming that "the man" was going to use a rubber on millions of ballot papers yesterday. Which do you think is more absurd?

Everything that is wrong with democracy has been demonstrated in this referendum. You need a license to own a dog but you don't need any qualification to choose the fate of your fellow countrymen.

democracy can, ironically , beget tyranny and despotism. I would like to say a Constitutional Republic better enshrines unalienable rights, but these days (post 9/11), I cannot

A lot of people have just voted for a worse future. Pretty much every other nationality I spoke to today were incredulous, but they're all wrong right? What do they know.

Get them all out and RULE BRITANNIA.

Watch how their patriotic pride is stabbed through the heart as Scotland jibs them off shortly.
Welcome back bae XXX shame you missed the main event.

That will at least have the benefit of being hilarious - as they vote to win and then immediately surrender independence, knowing that the oil has run out.
