Nope, not at all, hence me inquiring.

You said this: "...but with all the "russian interfering" with Brexit...", hence my question.

You see, over the last 21 months in this thread, there has been so many allegations regarding Brexit, nearly all unfounded by those who voted remain, that it is reasonable to question statements that appear to be claiming 'facts'. That's all.

FYI, I have NEVER been contacted by ANY Russkis regarding my Referendum vote. Nor by them for how to vote in any General Election, also! ;) :)

(Note to Remainers: My last paragraph is humour, folks. Don't get in a twist about it!)

With the reporting done on Cambridge Analytica influencing the US elections, you dont think theres even a minute chance this could have been done to influence Brexit as well?

And I'm not saying everyone who voted to "leave" was influenced at all. I know a good number of people who voted both ways and there stance was there stance from the very beginning. It's a genuine question of which I do not know, hence the query.

I believe I have worked out the fabled term Brexit means Brexit, and it indeed it does mean Brexit means Brexit. However, it starts big, but as you progress and to the crux of the matter it just get smaller and smaller, so fundamentally the same, just smaller than original concept. Brexit is much like a Matryoshka Russian nesting doll. And this reducing of Brexit has been just to the transition period!

Theresa May Prime Minister- “Brexit means Brexit and we’re going to make a success of it” July 2016’.

Theresa May Prime Minister- “Yes there will be ups and downs in the months ahead. As in any negotiation no-one will get everything they want”. March 2018.

David Davis Brexit Secretary- “There will be no downside to Brexit only considerable upside”. October 2016

David Davis Brexit Secretary- [Britain will not be] “plunged into a Mad Max style world borrowed from dystopian fiction”. February 2018.

Liam Fox International Trade Secretary- “The free trade agreement that we will have to do with European Union should be one of the easiest in human history”. July 2017.

Liam Fox International Trade Secretary- “ I don’t think they’re [ the negotiations ] difficult in term of the trade law or the trade negotiations themselves. The difficulty is the politics.” October 2017

BoJo Foreign Secretary- “There will continue to be free trade, and access to the single market”. June 2016.

BoJo Foreign Secretary- “Please bear in mind the economic benefits of membership are nothing like as conspicuous or irrefutable as is sometimes claimed”. February 2018.

This is all just irrelevant noise mate. The remainers will be telling us that the Martians did it next........

In any election, influences are brought to bear on the electorate. And these influences potentially impact both sides. And so you see the hoo-haa at present about the funding for the Leave campaign, conveniently ignoring the £9.5 million Cameron invested of taxpayers' money to campaign under the guise of 'Government guidance' for the Remain side.

Cambridge Analytica fed into the US election campaign. It is the easiest thing in the world to lodge an allegation; it is a different ball game altogether to then provide definite proof that their actions were of such magnitude that they directly influenced the final result.

There were all kinds of influences bearing down on the Referendum. Bearing down on the public from both sides. That is only to be expected. One saw the intimidatory remarks of Carney (the Bank of England boss getting it spectacularly wrong!), and the threats of a swingeing budget from the Chancellor of the time. Have they been taken to task over their actions? Nah, not a chance.

Things have to be kept in perspective, riddick. I'm not saying you do not keep things in perspective, riddick, but some on here are off the scale...

Remember when he said we should join the Euro, oh and his Weapons of Mass Destruction, the Invasion of Iraq, not to mention the ‘pretty straight sort of guy’ in the Bernie Ecclestone affair. Surely his wanting to remain in the EU is the biggest clue yet that we should get out asap........
