There's absolutely no denying she's been providing a biassed reportage favouring may's government up to last week. Abuse is unjustifiable, so's her role at the bbc.

I didn't see much - I saw some instances of incompetence, and playing up to the social media generation of providing a spin or angle on everything instead of presenting facts - but not particular bias.

What I have seen is the Momentum press such as The Canary go full barrels on her, often for little to no reason.

I think she's just pretty bad at what she does rather than biased. The story for me is the vitriol of Momentum and the nasty left wing extremist elements of the Corbyn support towards her - if they were right wing, they'd be baying for blood for the same behaviour, which is often plain and simple misogyny.

"...Absolutely ridiculous statement that education has nothing to do with doctorships and talent,..."

I never said that in what you were replying to, but hey-ho, distort things to suit your agenda, Duality...

I love how this thread calms down for about a day and then Boom!! Both Pete and Old blue get tangled into deep debate/discussion/argument with the same person or several people.

1462 pages of trying to convince two guys who will never be swayed when it comes to the EU and Brexit.

I have to say whether i agree or disagree with either of you, you guys are not short of a good debate that's for sure.

That's why you keep coming back, steve!

We're all as cautious/nervous/intrigued/optimistic about the final outcome as anyone else.

As the old song goes: 'I've looked at life from both sides now', or perhaps better to quote from The Who: 'Here's the new boss, same as the old boss.' But I do believe we will get fooled again by those who hold the ultimate power in the country...

It was a biassed angle she spun Tubey, it was always spinning for may.

Well the votes on the bill are starting to go through, but why are Labour sitting on their hands.......

MPs have voted on the first set of amendments to the EU Withdrawal Bill.

The amendment from Plaid Cymru's Hywel Williams to make the repeal of the 1972 Communities Act conditional on the government gaining consent from the devolved legislatures was defeated by 318 votes to 52.

MPs voted to keep Clause 1 of the bill by 318 votes to 68. Clause 1 is a single line saying that the European Communities Act 1972 will be repealed on exit day.

Davis last night (ft):

“We want to ensure that our new partnership with the EU protects the mobility of workers and professionals across the continent,” he said.
