You can't corner a Brexiteer with facts, they generally hate being quoted facts.....as the facts don't generally support their argument that Brexit is a boss idea. Much easier to completely ignore inconvenient stuff like facts, and rely on stock put downs and meaningless soundbites like "you lost get over it", "look for the positive", "we'll become global", "the German cars though" etc etc etc etc
It's a completely cyclical and futile discussion tbh. The only bit that really gets my goat is the argument about this supposed sacred democracy, some of the people trotting out that line patently don't understand what democracy actually is. June 23rd 2016 did not see democracy frozen in time, and it's our democratic right to continue to contest that this idea is a shocker. It's also completely democratic to suggest that the British people should be able to have a further say on this entire issue if public opinion suggests that is what the general consensus is at any point down the track.
