"In YouGov’s final poll they asked people to pick which one factor was most important to people in deciding how to vote. Among Leave voters the most popular answer was allowing Britain to act independently (45%), followed by immigration (35%) and the economy (8%). Full tabs are here."

In fairness, I'm a 'remoaner' but even I understand that people voted to leave the EU for a varying number of reasons - most of which were misplaced.

Again, a total generalisation when you say: '...most of which were misplaced...'.

What is it with Remain voters, that they believe they know the thoughts of all those who voted to leave?

Putting it bluntly, all those who make such remarks as you have done, Number_25, haven't a bloody clue about the thoughts of Leave voters, and just continue to spout UTTER RUBBISH to support their opinion and point of view.

What the hell gives you the right to say my views were misplaced because I voted to leave. You, and those who continue to spout such crap are a disgrace, and I make no apologies in telling you and your kind that...

Ridiculous ignorant hyperbole. I trust you have crime statistics detailing a direct correlation between freedom of movement and homicide rates? No? Didn't think so

Simple vetting is all I think we need. Obviously not gonna guarantee anything. But if someone has links to say far right supremacists or jihadists then we should have the right to say no.

I came one here to defend those of whom voted for us to leave, as even I feel that some of the crass generalisation has gone too far (in regards to racism). I see no reason why you feel the need to attack me for doing so.

As for me not having a "bloody clue about the thoughts of Leave voters", I have many close friends and family members that voted to leave. I've always made a note of understanding why, and I've often found that they have been misled into believing a lot of things of which weren't 100% accurate - bendy bananas being a prime example.

As for immigration, I can only look at facts and statistics. In a recent study from the LSE, they found that EU migrants have "no negative effect on UK wages". I believe the real issue in regards to wage stagnation, and the downturn in our public sector is gross mismanagement and cruel underfunding from central government. I'd rather tackle that injustice than blame Johnny Forgeiner for using a system that he has the right to use.

But we do, under Schedule 7, through exclusion orders and a raft of other measures.

Three of the four 7/7 attackers, Abedi, Reid, Masood were all British nationals.

Word of advice mate - don't engage him. No point.

So you didn't post this then? "...even I understand that people voted to leave the EU for a varying number of reasons - most of which were misplaced..."

Do me a favour. Don't post a generalisation such as I have quoted from you, and then claim otherwise...

Most of which were misplaced, yes. I'll quite happily stand by that point and I haven't done anything to say that I won't.

Look, I'm defending those who voted for us to leave the EU for reasons other than "immigrants coming 'ere and stealing my jobs mate".

As for this, I can tell you were foaming at the mouth whilst writing it.

"Your kind". Less of that, you biff.

Now it's down to insults, eh. The refuge of the defeated.

You can dish it out, but don't like it when you get it back in equal measure. There are a few on here like you. Big boy bullys spouting garbage, but little shithouses when confronted about it. Ten-a-penny, your crowd, and easily identifiable.

Do you not understand how utterly ridiculous you sound? I'm always interested in hearing what most people have to say, but I'm struggling to take you seriously,
