This is my favourite:

But don't worry, the EU needs to bend over to us because we buy any car.com from Germany or whatever the stupid logic was...

There should very, very obviously be - at the very least - a meaningful vote in the Commons on this inevitable trainwreck of a Brexit, or a second referendum, because we could be committing national economic suicide for no reason beyond going temporarily UKIP for a few years.

Common sense has to prevail at some point.

Guys it's a negotiation. There's more headless chickens in here than a poultry farm abattoir........

It doesn't seem like much of a negotiation - rather a restatement of the attitude that the top of the EU have displayed throughout their "negotiations" with Greece, which have of course been such a complete success.

So now you compare us with Greece, a bankrupt country of 11 million people......ye gods and little fishes.....

Could you at least read the post and understand it before posting in reply? That is not the comparison I made, at all.

So was the point you were making, one of standard EU intransigence and dictatorial bullying behaviour ?.......this is why the EU are insisting on 'open' negotiations, so that the threats can be repeated to wind up the knee jerk headless chickens......

They are making this big deal and noise about the EU and UK citizens, something that May would have had wrapped up before Christmas. They have thrown two not so subtle political hand grenades in regarding Gibraltar and Northern Ireland which had to be dealt with anyway, and insisted that we pay pay some form of exit fee demonstrating that really it's all about money.....they are so used to getting their way and steamrolling dissenters that this will come as a bit of a shock....

Another country seemingly detached from reality. It's worth remembering that the UK offered very little to the Greek bailout, and I would have loved to have seen the pitch to the public "yes, lets give a few quid to Greece to get them out of a hole. Nope, they probably won't pay us back, and won't undertake any changes to the systems and behaviours that got them into the mess in the first place" *rattles tin*

Pete, it was Michael Howard that threatened war on Gibralter. Presumably he's a knee jerking headless chicken too?

It was a stupid response, we should have just nuked Madrid.......
