Appreciate your sensible answers on my behalf :)

I'm still a member of the Labour party more out of habit currently.

I've never been attracted by the Liberals/social Democrats as they've never truly served the people I feel need the most support - the poor, sick, elderly, those in need of education and training, social care etc etc.

The reason I am so anti-Brexit is the damage it will do to the economy and as a direct result the impact that economic difficulties have on those very people I list above.

Economic difficulties don't really affect the elite, they just adjust their discretionary spending - travel business class not first, go easy on the wine cellar, stretch that car purchase out for another year, maybe have a 'staycation' rather than a third, fourth or fifth holiday of the year.

I'll repeat again the referendum was sold on a false premise and for the wrong reasons. It has no democratic legitemacy because of the above and constitutionally as an advisory referendum.

It is not the voice of the people it is the wish of a small number of exceedingly rich, non domiciled, non tax paying media owners who in the words of Murdoch have control and influence over Downing Street but not Brussels.

And yet according to quite a few on here, it was the elderly and those in need of education and training who voted to leave...these people just can't look after themselves.......

There's an open debate that's all the news stated a far removed from no running commentary ITV news just stated their would be no vote as the Tories may be scared of losing it ?
Remember the PM is abroad coming back tomorrow Labour have said they will back article 50 , but may like to add amendments which as I pointed out it's better to see what the EU offer us first?
It's just a debate nothing more but nothing less you are right the Tories may not defeat the Labour bill
PM today it will be a red white, and blue Brexit?
joey i have received five nominations on my bozo list for you and i am here as the first of 3 ghosts to try and make you see the error of your ways and change. hint : the remaining 2 ghosts are not so pleasant.

Where have you been @peteblue - did you see the post where Esk wants Brexit reversed ?lol

It's difficult to reverse something that has not started yet. Far better that Parliament agrees that leaving the EU to pick up a WTO agreement on the same terms makes no sense at all and gets down to serious reform of the EU rather than this charade.

Your post Esk stated you wanted it reversed ?
You never gave that explanation?
The charade goes to DC and Gideon as they were that pompous they though it would be a win even they accepted the vote of the people!
Their error no Brexit plan!

I don't want it to happen. So if the process has started (it hasn't) it needs reversing. If it hasn't started it need not to start.

Away on business last few days, tried posting one night via a phone but it was rubbish.....I'll try and catch up tomorrow. Yes I did see that comment, I wasn't shocked tbh, disappointed but not shocked. Democracy in the UK requires people to accept the results of votes, it's what holds our people together. The legal wranglings and faux outrage about the use of executive power to carry out the will of the people will no doubt come back, now it appears to be an accepted practice, and bite these very same people on the arse one day.......I have no problem with having a vote, it's the right thing to do, but having it driven by some disgruntled businesswoman rather than the opposition and politicians themselves is not something I would support.......
