International competitions are valued way higher than domestic ones in argentina.Obviously there’s something about Gallardo and his trophy count speaks for itself, but how come he hasn’t won the league in the 4 or 5 years he’s been there? Honest question, so much hype around him at the moment but surely with his resources that looks like a bit of a question mark?
I like him and the Ajax team he's built but they are a hugely talented bunch of players who have all, from around the age of 10, grown up playing the 'Ajax way'. We don't have enough players with the technical ability to play his style of football. If Ten Hag is willing to start again and build a team to eventually play his way in 5 years time then fine. I'd maybe give him a chance but the Premier League doesn't allow for slow build up play from the back and slow possession football. It's fast paced and physical. I just don't see him being able to transfer his style over to the Premiership, it's why De Boer had problems at Palace.
Not a chance Ten Hag would leave mid season.
This season is crucial for him.
If he can get close to what he did last season without De Jong and De Ligt, playing the same style of football
well there'll be a horde of clubs after him and he can name his price.
And even then he may not leave.
He's beaten Lyon and Valencia, both 3-0, with Chelsea next.
What's happening in Dutch football is unrecognisable from 3-4 years ago.
They've learnt the lessons needed, including Koeman.
We probably wont get Erik but I'd be looking at the some of the players coming through.
I'm sure if Marcel does decide to go Dutch, he'll be sure about it, he won't repeat the Klassen shambles.
Unless he and Brands are friends why on earth would he leave Ajax for Everton ffs?
Going from winning leagues/cups and being in the champions league with the most exciting academy and young players in the world vs managing Walcott and Iwobi, having the Street End boo him after a few games and the threat of being out of a job in a year

I watched the first leg of the semi final and Boca were reduced to lumping it up to Abila and loading the midfield in true Sean Dyche style. Dodgy penalty aside River were easily better. I'd love to see an Everton side play like that.International competitions are valued way higher than domestic ones in argentina.
1 Libertadores is easily the equivalent to 3 domestic leagues in fans eyes.
He has prioritised internatioal competitions always.
When he came on board, River still had the shame of relegation and well over a decade of subjugation by Boca.
He has Boca now hanging under the crossbar looking for draws - they are Rivers whipping boys.
He has made River the team with the bragging rights and he is idolised for it.
Also, Rivers record in internationally trophies was very poor historically and he has fixed that, big time.
His record is all good.

Hes my choice, do you think he would come?
Remember when you said Kasper Dolberg would be better than Zlatan Zat?
