Exactly it is dumb they don't say it's just weather, they tell you that it was warm and that you imagined the cold, much more intelligent way of approaching things, then people who wore a woolly hat, duffel coat and had the heating and electric blanket on while hugging a hot water bottle all say "If the met office said it was warm it must have been warm they have a chart".

No, a short heat wave would be weather, when such heat waves trend to affect long term averages then it becomes a climate event.

So 'they' are just a figment of your confirmation bias, unless you can produce a peer reviewed research paper on such a subject. Though I'm not surprised you are opposed to the concept of research given that you reject a scientific consensus.

Who's going to fund my research? Not too many grants out there for debunking (man made climate change) a trillion pound industry.
You should take a trip to the artic you might see Al Gore screaming "why haven't you melted yet?" at the sea ice.. it was scientific conscious that it would be gone in summer months by now, hell Gore won a noble prize for his work.
It was scientific conscious in the 50s that we were heading for an ice age.
It was scientific conscious a few years ago that the great barrier reef had zero chance of recovery only for it to recover a year later..
