Enner Valencia

I long for a world where our front 3 are Niasse, Kone & Valencia, I think the 3 of them can pick up the slack when Lukaku leaves in the summer.

A combined age of about 138 and not a bit of child maintenance paid between them, that's the future and it looks quite bright if you ask me.

We could give them a quirky nickname like CSA.

So hard to judge value isn't it, Is 14m a lot in todays market? He's done better than i thought and is a fairly useful back-up, I would have no problem him staying as part of the squad and money is crazy these days so why not.

Assuming Rom stays if we are only signing 1 forward it's a no but if we are looking to also bring in Rooney/ 2 strikers in then he wouldn't be the worst option at £12 million as a 3rd choice striker.

Would much rather Antonio from West Ham although he would cost around £20 million and would most likely want to be a starter.

Even if we are better off financially than we used to be, paying anything more than £8 mil for Valencia is a waste. And, honestly, he's only slightly better than Kone. He wouldn't get much playing time if everyone was healthy. In my opinion, it's the change in formation and providing help to Lukaku that usually makes the difference, not specifically anything that Valencia is doing when he comes on.

Reports say the agreed fee is less than the quoted 14m.

I think he will be useful for the European games and presuming we shift niasse and, kone, we need a few strikers. He has already gelled with the team and we score on average every 10 minutes he's on the pitch?

He's done a decent job but not the standard of player I expected us to be loaning/buying. I want a stronger bench, one where you get excited when you see someone coming on.

So if we get VVD, Keane and a new goalkeeper - then keep Valencia on for the full 90 minutes we win every game 9-0

Sorted.

There's a player in there somewhere, thought it before he came to England, he just struggled to adapt.
If he finds his feet, and there's been steady signs, he could be very useful.
