Indeed, but there is bugger all anyone can do about that right now so we will just have to get on with it.

Apparently Napoli were messing us about last summer. I've heard they were asking for more than double the 14mil Southampton paid for him in Jan. Though I appreciate he was hot last summer and then had half a season of doing nothing.

I have been as frustrated as anyone with some of our transfer dealings but hopefully everyone at the club will have learned lessons and will get things done right this summer. Hopefully other clubs will also have learned that we won't be taken for a ride.

Also Gabiaddini could easily just end up being another Jelavic'. Amazing for half a season and then drop off when everyone works out how to play against him. There are no guarantees. In the summer some fans were disappointed when we didn't get sissoko (me included I shamefully admit), and he'd proved for years at NUFC that he isn't up to it consistently in the prem.

As for Valencia, I think he's done exactly what most predicted. Ok, he's far from the quality back up striker we need, but he works hard and puts himself about. He also hasn't moaned in the press about lack of opportunities which is important. He's an ok option/back up for now and will be gone in May. Good luck to him.

Whoever signed/scouted this clown should be sacked. His signing felt like 2 steps forward, 10 steps back. Not getting a decent 2nd striker will cost us Europe and ulitmately Rom.
