I have a respect for Southgate, he has instilled a team mentality. I am all for am pragmatic style of football as well, but this tournament he has taken it to a new level, especially considering the attacking options he has in the squad.

This is not pragmatic - this is literally doing and setting up the only way he knows how though.

Pragmatic would've been to try a back 3, or anything new - this is the same 4-2-3-1 from the qualis but more boring and unnecessarily defensive.
