Jags was trying to do two jobs while Distin strolled about not giving a fuk.
He also copped all the flack for England's woeful wc, despite him being the one stand out performer in an abysmal side.

got nothing to do with winning everton POTY though. was just my opinion anyway that he was worse than distin for the first couple of months. obviously proved the right decision now, but i wouldn't have moaned if both along with howard were all dropped for a lengthy time they were all truly abysmal.

Kind of goes against the whole "Born, not manufactured..." thing but I'd agree they don't get much bluer than Dunc.

ferguson's the epitomy of everything everton. he's not even a scouser but learned to love this club and show the passion that not many clubs can attract out of players who grew up supporting others. he'll always be my favourite ever player.

Think Jags getting it is the right choice. Everyone was rubbish in the first half of the season and he has probably been our best and most consistent performer for the second half. In a season this awful he probably deserves it for the goal against Liverpool alone as it was one of the only bright spots...

I was hoping Stones would get one of the main awards as he's the only player to play most of the season and not have a bad spell.

Jagielka was crap for the first 5 games or so and had an absolute nightmare against Southampton in December but apart from that he's been quite good.

Stones, McCarthy ahead of him by far for me.
