Hope he turns up as do the rest of the pilot staff. Tragic stuff. BBC saying they lost radio contact with Jersey at 2300 ft doesn't sound promising.

....sounds like there was only two on board, assuming that means Sala and the pilot. It wasn’t a private jet, it looks like a small propeller plane.

Think to out Everton us he'd have had to survive the crash only to be picked up by a dinghy full of migrants, almost make it to shore only to be picked off by @Joey66 with his sniper rifle as he sets foot on the beach.

That would be Everton that.

Hoping for a positive outcome but all the signs are not looking good.

@Joey66 has informed me that due to the tragic circumstance of the poor lad and pilot going missing, he`s called off his one man mission to repel immigrants and is currently handing out cups of hot chick pea soup on the beach.

TBH there really needs to be a division between large scale aviation (scheduled services etc) which is very safe, and small scale things like this which is less safe.

much less safe yet still safer than driving; the issue of course is that accidents are so frequently fatal, even if accidents are very rare

You have to feel for Cardiff. The highly rated kid from Nantes seemingly dead in an air crash and Oumar turns up safe and well

I posted on the transfer forum last week about Sala. I live in Nantes and go to games when I can. I was supposed to go this weekend in fact but the game has been moved and now I can't. I've no idea what the atmosphere will be next Wednesday The whole city will be affected by this, he was so well liked and Nantes fans are pretty passionate. Hopefully this doesn't crush their season because they're having a hard time lately results wise.
You have to wonder why the plane flew in the first place given the bad weather ( a crappy little plane too - WTF Cardiff?). Just like the Leicester helicopter crash, it's hard to get your head around.

Hear that all the time but not sure how true it is. Maybe with the big airplanes that are constantly checked but the light aircrafts and helicopters seem very unsafe.

Celebrities probably travel by airplane more than trains so not a totally fair comparison but we can all easily name over 100 celebrities who have died by plane (and many more who have come close) and very very few who have died on trains.

Hope who's ever on that plane is Ok.
Travelling by air is defo safer. You only think it isn't because when it happens which isn't often it is all over the news. Think about how many car accidents there are each day, be loads.
